No. Doing so will cause your hair to fall out, your skin to dry and begin to flake off, and it will give you the worst case of diarrhea you've ever had in your life. Best to just stick to the recipe as shown.
+God of Thunder (UKKONEN) I lol'd so hard, because I was actually thinking like this the whole time. "Okay, no sardines, I'll use chicken or something." "Alright, no cayenne or lemon juice, so n/m" "Hmm... maybe I'll just make a bologna sandwich."
+God of Thunder (UKKONEN) Well the generic equivalent. Kraft tartar sauce instead of Miracle Whip and the cheese slices have to left out overnight unwrapped for the proper texture. Finished with 4 tablespoons of soy sauce and a whole bottle of ketchup. Per sandwich.
this is one of my all time favorite sandwiches...! i haven't changed anything, besides sometimes i just use a little lettuce in addition! thank you chef john!
I had never had white anchovies until a few years ago when I ordered a salade Nicoise in Paris and it came with these instead of the usual ones. LOVED them. Hard to find, but worth it!!!! This tartine looks wonderful and tastes even better.
Chef John, this video inspired me to make my own take on tartine. I made the garlic lemon aioli you made in this video and instead anchovies I used shrimp. I also topped it with some guacamole. It was soooo good! As a 21 year old college student I love to find quick and easy meals, and your channel defintely provides me with some. Thanks for all the entertainment, the inspiration, and the yummy food! Taylor King
It is beautiful. Surlatable.com sells them (olive wood). I have a salt container in the same wood. You need to rub them with mineral oil once in a while and let it soak in before using again. Will help prevent the wood from cracking due to dryness.
Thank you! This is coming from a big anchovy fan. Well, I mean I am a big fan of anchovies, not a fan of big anchovies. Not that I have a problem with big anchovies...
Redistribution of wealth isn't an endorsement, the right use it to stoke fears of communism and the left are scared to advocate it for the very same reason.
animalmother556x45 The goal of socialism is redistribution of income to eradicate poverty. People are reluctant to use the term "redistribution" at all because of connotations of forceful redistribution of wealth.
I was freaking out thinking something was wrong with Chef John since he always posts on time and there weren't any new videos. I went to his site and thank God is is on vacation lol 😊
When I saw the flowers I immediately thought of Tareq Taylor, wonder if you've heard about him? He likes to use local produce, and often involves a lot of ingredients that are right outside the door.
bohn only's Yeah I already thought of that. They are pretty good but nearly as good as pickled anchovies..or just use the ones in a oil I love them too. :)
Got a new camera chef? Or just really good sunlight today? The picture is excellent! Oh btw I have been sick for about a week now and you don't wanna how many videos I rewatched. Love!
For someone who hates dishes I would suggest just mashing the garlic with a knife and salt a lá Marco Pierre White on a cutting board and dont bother to clean a nice mortar and pestle, plus it would be quicker. Because you might aswell just flip the cutting board and cut the radishes and assemble the sandwiches on it.
+leftyla Any edible petals would do. The ones he used are Calendula officinalis, also called Marigolds. Maybe this will help you to select something you fancy: whatscookingamerica.net/EdibleFlowers/EdibleFlowersMain.htm
