The beauty of these antelopes. How they detect praying animals, how they show off their flying grace and strength. Like "You can't catch me. I'll FLY away from you". I believe animals have souls, and they do go to heaven. Where they will never be hunted again. I love these beautiful creatures. The cheetas too. They won't have to kill others in paradise, their bellies will be full anyway. That's what I believe, that we all will be friends in paradise.

Aswaghosh Anil No It’s cheetahs who top out at over 65 miles an hour. Then pronghorn antelope (not acutally an antelope but occupies the same ecological niche) which clock at nearly 60 miles an hour and then the springbok which has been clocked at speeds of 56 miles an hour. I think that’s the order but I might be wrong.

Springbok have the same speed range as the cheetah 35 - 45 mph. They're equally agile. Cheetahs, some, can run around 50 mph though.

TasmanianWolves no. Springbok top speed is around 47 - 55 miles an hour. Cheetahs go at 60 miles an hour.

Springbok and Cheetah have the same speed range of 35 - 45 mph. Some cheetahs run just over 50 mph but not all cheetahs are capable of such speed. The only animals that run comfortably over 55 are PRONGHORNS which a cheetah may not likely catch, and sometimes Black Buck Antelope. Gazelle are smaller versions of Antelopes and with that they run slower. The fastest gazelles are Springbok and Thompson's Gazelle but these types are also the most agile. There is another gazelle which is slower and lack agility altogether called a Dorca. But it doesn't inhabit Africa but it does Arabia.

@GuruGosu Exhausting tactics work, but only if the predators are in packs or there aren't other predators that can take the prey away. Wolves, wolverines and bears may bite and then wait the prey to bleed to death. It just doesn't work for cheetahs. Also animals like anthelope can probably run for hours. It's easier to make it run away and catch or if lucky it'll stumble and fall down, than to exhaust it :)
