@@breathe_3asy Weighing in on the conversation a little late here..... politics is not just about government policy, but about the political attitude of the people in charge of SA Rugby. So when you have a guy like Rassie who comes in, adheres to the government requirements but still creates a team all pretty much there on merit, we win the RWC. The alternative is the likes of Heyneke Meyer, who will not give any new black players a chance to get in the door, even if that means selecting white players out of position to block them, and sticks only with the black players he inherited; well, we all know how that turned out. The second political issue is the general attitude of the population. Not every black player selected is a "quota", yet this forum is full of allegations that they are. Players that are highly regarded on the world stage are shunned by our "supporters" because they are not white. We should be supporting ALL Springbok players, or we can not be called Bok fans. Yet, a day or two after having lifted the RWC, this and other forums were already filled with idiots bleating about how we would have done better had we not had all the "quota passengers". Done better than win the World Cup? What does that even mean? BTW, in case you are wondering... I am a white guy, old enough to have seen Errol Tobias having naartjies, empty miniature brandy bottles and racist slurs thrown at him while representing SA at Ellis Park. I am well aware of the government shortcomings (putting it mildly) but to judge someone's ability to play a sport based on their skin colour?!? Utter bullshit, boet.
Karma you trying to be a hero? Whatever helps you sleep better at night, we all know the reality of the situation regardless of your white knight views
Great Vid mate! @BroncosFan1990; Rugby World Cup stats: South Africa - Played 5 and won 2 (40%) New Zeeland - Played 7 and won 2 (28,6%) Australia - Played 7 and won 2 (28,6%) England - Played 7 and won 1 Now that is real domination?
I agree the ab are in another league at the moment but since SA has entered into the World Cup rugby, AB have only won once where as SA have won twice.
I'm a Springbok for life... but i'll admit the All Blacks are number 1... SA number 2... at this stage they are better, we've got a young team that will gel brilliantly by 2015... then we can take them. we disappoint ourselves on defense against All Blacks but 2015 is a different story... we will take it...
