Class act. Erudite, respectful, humble. World champions on and off the pitch. Have no blood or heritage links to SA but would be more than delighted to see these guys back to back winners!
So proud of the Boks, I’ve listen to so many talk shows and I haven’t heard one negative comment about anybody or any team … love that Proudly South African
Great men. Huge, destructive abilities on the pitch, yet away from the arena quietly spoken gentlemen: real men. Go well at the weekend, and beat the English good☘👍.
These reporters trying hard to make them boast...but failing miserably. Springboks are a team, doing things as a team, and they keep telling this media crooks.
Compare this to the embarrassing and borderline childish behaviour of Marler and co…. The togetherness and brotherly comradery of this Bok team is so inspiring. Hier kom die Bokke!
I want England to win ‘cos I’m British, SA are a fantastic side with many phenomenal players, hoping everyone plays as well as they can can and has a great game, all the best guys! 👏👍😀 The best team on the day will win !
Mate you like me Boks fan through and through… but I’m worried… SA is used to dry weather England however can battle in wet muddy conditions… I’m telling you this is gonna be a battle it’s raining as well 😂😂😂
Hopefully. As a Frenchman and for the very first time in my life, I will strongly support England on Saturday. I do anticipate a very warm welcome to Ben O’Keeffe as well.
Blue - The colour all over your body after a match with the Boks White - The colour you turn when you see Eben Etzebeth hurtling toward you like an enraged bull. Red - The colour you last see before the ground rises to meet your face. Green - The colour of your face at the end of the match moaning about what might have been. Gold - The colour taken away, what you'll never wear.
Eben answed the 'Enforcer question so humbly and brilliantly 👌💪. One thing I have noticed is that the spingboks players know how to answer media questions..
Eben's performance against France got him millions of new fans, he really did step up that night (& Kriel was phenomenal). Also, Springboks management has done a good job at keeping all the players grounded. I thought it was just Kolisi but none of them are arrogant or glory hounds, they put the team ahead of themselves. I like how they shut down attempts by the media to make our win over England in the 2019 finals mean anything, it doesn't. The 2023 semis is what matters.
This World Cup really put a spotlight on what kind of human being Siya Kolisi is. I believe that the cohesiveness of the team depends at large on his way of leadership and influence. A champion guy and captain for a champion team!
Nice…guys look focused, humble and diplomatic…as always. Now we just have to see how that translates into cohesion and performance on the field. Always back my team 100%!
Malherbe- 'four years ago it was a good day for us but that's in the past' 💪.. This is 2023 not 2019..and the springboks has developed a lot of depth in players and innovated new styles of play.
As a South African, passionate Bok fan, I enjoy your takes. There is huge respect for the England team here. You have played 2 of the World Cup wins SA had, 2007 and 2019 agains us in finals. The England team has BMT, (Big Time!!) we take them seriously and, believe me, I am nervous about Saturday's match. England rugby fans need to show some love to your players. There is nothing that motivates players more than love and respect from the fans. Whatever the outcome, may it be a great match.
I find it hugely respectful that Eben Etzebeth, Frans Malherbe & Damian de Allende are not giggling when asked to comment on the physical challenge of facing England, especially the scrum! 🤣
SA fan here I’m laughing tho but at the same time I’m worried… when it comes to rugby England are like SA you don’t take the piss out of them coz they can surprise you and embarrass you… we all know what England did to New Zealand in 2019…. These boys respect each other anybody can win and to be fair England scare me I’m honestly not sure about the result
Ou Fransie. He really does prefer to let his scrumming do the talking. Damien looks a bit more tired than he did in the presser before France. Him and Willemse looked like stone-cold killers before that game.
This is off topic, but I'm watching Frans speak to media for the first time. He is an absolute uncanny doppelgänger for a gentleman from Australia that fights in the UFC - Tai Tuivasa. Same energy. Tai jokes around and Frans is more serious, but still. Go Bokke! Class act as always.
Would have been ideal opportunity to give some of the other star players some game time and giving other players a rest, without placing the team at risk. Esterhuizen, Moodie, Williams are all super talented and crying out for game time. Just give them some time on the bench.
A HIA is approved by the ref team before it can take place. Look at some of the head contacts on PSTD and Bongi that the ref did not call, but the coaching staff and ref team saw and warranted HIA.
If it was cheating then why haven't they being punished... Sound sour because y'all stupid... They are obviously very intelligent couches there that know the laws... Springboks are the only team that is evolving and actually reading the laws... Don't be sour because of your lack of creativity... Look within..
