Remember this kid was Captain at Bishops and a Headboy, he's been in leadership positions his whole life. Even in Grade 7 he was already Captain, there's literally a video on RU-vid of him giving a speech to his team in the 7th grade at Bishops. He's not gonna come off as being phased by pressure or extra humble, part of the reason he's special is his confidence and arrogance, which is what you need to be on THAT level. Pollard was the exact same, people wanted him to be this scared little boy, but he wasn't phased.
The essential element of Bok captaincy is getting all the different personalities and backgrounds working together and being themselves- Siyas superpower and John Smit had the ability. Pienaar they had to cull better players(Strauss) and build the team then Transvaal around him - in a few words it’s about naturally putting other’s interests ahead of yours for the benefit of all stakeholders
@@user-jw4yc3ec6y What I have heard from people who played with him, is that he is the fisrt one to help other players. Even guys who compete for his position at the Junior Boks and WP. He is always willing to help others improve thier game. He always put his team mates first. Atleast that is what I have heard from players who played with him.
This ain’t football please use a better analogy ….the reality is that most rugby players are brought up to be like this because they came from school institutions that are conservative
@theosokupa2861 yes captain obvious it's not football, calm down 🙄🤦🏽♂️I've been watching him since school rugby, he is special and has more rugby IQ than most of his peers that's older than him, that's what I meant with maturity.
@@kennethqondani3452 off course he can share he’s opinion …and it’s an opinion shared on a public platform …..and that’s why I shared mine too…it’s just that mine was disagreeing with his .its not the end of the world …..we agree to disagree 👍
Important to notice that he set clear boundaries for journalists: 'For my friends I am Sach, for you I am Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu, the rugby player'.
It's very exciting to see young pro's like this lad coming through. He is the product of a lifetime of dedication to his sport and I for one can't wait to see how his Springbok career unfolds. Well done also to his parents, grandparents, teacher, coaches and friends that moulded him into this person we see today. Great young example to other youngsters about how to conduct yourself. Go Sacha we are fully behind you!!
Mngomezulu, Malinga, Nkabayenkosi, Dlakadla. Yah mfana so proud, I hope you enjoy a long career. Forget expectation but focus on you & maximizing your talent am sure you gonna be the next superstar not just rugby but all sports.
@@thondoyaenterprise3795 Maybe, but it would be great to see him coming of the bench. Pollard scored a try against NZ on his debut when he was only 20 years old. Frans Steyn won a world cup at 20years old. This guy has BMT, just like Polly and Frans. But yes, early days, he needs to prove himself. .
Going places this bright and sparkling young Bokke Superstar make nada mistake > Well groomed, confident, highly intelligent and assertive, nicely clear headed and no nonsense approach >> A HUGE asset to the Bokke camp One of your finest moves EVER Rassie❗️ Glad he speaks highly of Tony as well Thus a combined effort all round SIMPLY GREAT‼️ CONGRATULATIONS Making us all proud infinitely…🥂👊🔥🪖
Please make him captain for next world cup. Let him captain a few easy games over the next few years to ease him in and then watch him flourish under preasure in the WC.
Why is that necessarily fr being a captain dnt under estimate Rassie leadership thers enough who's along time in the Bokke why you want him in the captain position
Hi name alone already represents the entire rainbow nation and it seems all the comments indicated the we want him to represent our country as a Bok and I tend to agree, especially after we all wanted to know where we will go from here after Pollard and Siya and now we have an idea of the possible future
Dr Danie Craven famously said all successful Springbok rugby teams should have a Jewish player in, Sacha is a patrilineal Jew with a family of famous anti apartheid activists alongside thousands of other proud SA Jews who fought hard against the regime.
Yeah, that struck me as a bit strange too, but in his defense he was articulating an answer to a question about his public and private life., so he gets away with it on a technicality 😅
Dad and grand dad actually South Africans- his dad born in England because grand dad Barry Feinberg was living in excile due to anti apartheid activism
