Thanks for the video. I think Ruby is doing brilliant and you have done a great job taking on a Springer at this age who has had some errors in her training from her previous owner. It's going to take time and patience to introduce the training and also you are dealing with her mental age now rather than a younger pup just starting this training.
Are the dogs featured in your videos yours or do you train them for other people? I haven't been a subscriber for very long. I watched the videos with Ruby but was curious about the rest. Great video by the way.
Ruby is becoming quite the proper lady. You've made great progress with her, George. I am curious though. Are you still working with Rua as well? She's a beautiful pup as well.
Hi , My 13 month bitch has just come into season for the first time. She's gone a bit wild in the last few days. Her recall is slow , normally good, could this be due to her season ? thanks in advance. Neil
There is no point applying steadiness until the delivery is sorted as that is one of the main causes, to much pressure. Bear in mind pressure comes in many forms to a dog. dry hunting a dog on a green boring field helps no one especially a handler who ultimately wants a dog hunting close within gunshot as a dog if it has a brain will always pull out to find scent or game, notice by the end of your video the dog is getting ever wider and not listening ? That is the reason.
This dog was hunting 200 yards in front,I think you'll have to agree there's quite a level of improvement,it's a work in progress and she's not ready for game.Appreciate your input, best of luck.
