Glad yours works. Sending mine back to Springfield for failure to feed. 400 rds and will not go into battery 5 out of 7 times.

I would suggest purchasing Wilson Combat magazines. In my experience, the majority of 1911 magazines are the main proprietors of failures to feed and/or go into battery. The 47D mags from Wilson tend to solve 99% of the problems. Unfortunately, the majority of 1911 mags are outsourced to bottom dollar makers - in spite of whatever name is stamped on the side - and thus are poor quality. The follower especially has a tendency to cause feeding issues. Wilson mags eliminate that issue by utilizing their unique polymer follower which is attacked directly to the magazine spring. It doesn’t slide out or move, as is thus a very rigid and reliable system. Just a helpful piece of advice from someone who suffered a similar gripe in the past. Take care, good sir!

@@permanenceaesthetic6545 I always use cobra or wilson mags. I sent it back to Springfield and they replaced the extractor and polished the feed ramp. That didn't fix the problem, now it's at nighthawk have 1,000 dollars worth of work done.

I handled one at my local store recently. maybe I'm biased cause I have a full rail TRP, but I didn't think the grips and checkering were that bad, texture wise? After about a minute of handling it, it felt really nice. convinced me to put the down payment on it to pick it up later.

Springfield operator > TRP Not even close IMO. Operator has all the same features except for the Magwell but almost $700 less in price.

I'm thinking of selling 3 of my 1911s to buy this one. What I didn't know is the 3 I want to sell are worth half of what I paid for them. All of them have just 50 rounds through them, just did a function check on them. My question is, is it worth taking the hit on my other guns to buy this one. FYI, the other ones are, Springfield lightweight commander ronin, colt lightweight commander and a bul armory.
