I love the Springfield Hellcat. Honestly one of my favorites to shoot. You really have to have great trigger discipline to stay perfectly accurate which translates incredibly when you're shooting a full size. I cannot recommend enough. The hellcat is my EDC. You can basically conceal it in a t-shirt if you wanted because of its size. I still wear an over-shirt though.
Did not like my alcat. Square grip was very uncomfortable after shooting a little bit. Quite Pepe. Love this site, size and name. But glad I just sold it. Went with the shield plus. Much better for me. To each their own
@@miragexl007 glad you found something that's right for you. I quite like the feel of the hellcat which is the reason I went with it - and after 1,000 rounds down range have an excellent grouping. You are right - it is very peppy though because of it's size. The Shield is a great piece as well. Happy shooting.
@@progmanmike I might be the only person that has ever taken a ground hog with S&W bodyguard 380. I now only carry my J-Frame loaded with 357 or that plus my glock 19
I have a Springfield Armory Hell Cat and I recommend the Hogue Handall Beaver Tail grip sleeve it helps tame the stout recoil of the +P 124 & 147 grain ammo.
My hellcat eats everything i put in her great CCW handgun i had her with me when i moved from oregon Portland to tulsa Oklahoma i will trust my life with this handgun for sure 💯🇺🇸🇲🇽🤠 great video
@@AmericanMexicanGunslinger it's hard because my girlfriend doesn't want to leave. I may have to leave her to make it out of here. Her family is here so I can't blame her. My family is in Louisiana and texas.
For the hellcat, you can take the 13rd mag base plate and spring out and put it on the 15rd mag and it’ll make it hold 17+1 in the hellcat. And for me it fires with no mishaps or feeding issues. And I’ve cycled that mag at least 12 times now.
I have had mine for about 2 months. The only thing I have done is install an Apex trigger which helped me tremendously. I have, also, purchased a couple of 13 round mags for it which gives me 14 rounds. I love the sights, also. I have put 300+ rounds thru it without any problems.
When I went in to look at both P365 & Hellcat , I picked the Hellcat . For me it felt better in my hands and I liked the sights . Both are good guns and will serve their owners well .
Had one for over a year. 750+ rounds down its throat without issues. The trigger eases up after 4-500 rounds and I prefer it to the sig 365. I blacked out the white line on the rear sight. I don’t think it’s snappy compared to an xds in 9 or 45.
I love my hellcat. at first i didnt like how small the grip was. it was hard to hold on to until i put a hogue grip on it now its fantastic. i also put a swamp fox optic on it. i couldnt be happier.
A little sick of listening to people whine about Springfield's politics... When I bought my hellcat I didn't go buy a hellcat to support Springfield, I bought it to support HS produkt out of Croatia. Outstanding firearms manufacturer
I bought a Hellcat back in december and i love it. And every one of my buddies who have seen it and shot it like it too. Its a really cool gun and it tears up
Mine should be in this week, rented one at the range and I was impressed how controllable it was with 10 round mag and how accurate it was as well. The anticipation is building for sure. Good video as always.
I carry the Hellcat with the SMSc optic. It's a tac driver. The 15 rd mags are awesome. Springfield Armory has them. I carry a HK p30sk normally last few years and the Hellcat is now carried 90% of the time
I’m 65. Been military and police my whole life. I have found that a lot of problems happen when the magazine is dropped and the extra rnd added. Stick with whatever the mag holds.
I'm thinking about getting my first handgun soon. I'm in love with my AR however I am finally old enough to buy a handgun and this is an option I've been considering.
i own a hellcat. and its a great pistol it shoot straight and is very compact for the amount it hold. easy to conceal carry and very comfortably to have on the waistband.
Got one for my wife a while back. Really dig the hellcat, just a bit tiny. I carry a 43X MOS, just fits the hand a little better or I'd be rocker the hellcat as a carry.
You are always honest. I appreciate you. You are right; we are all different. If one of my Hellcats had a mushy trigger like a 365 I’d not own a few of them.
I I carry a Hellcat Optics ready but I just bought it that way case I ever wanted to put it on. I use a 15 round clip in it from Springfield .it's just like an eighth of an inch longer. 15 rounds One in the Chamber that's 16 rounds. the extra weight helps with the snappiness . very manageable I shoot a hundred rounds every 30 days through it. very reliable love the sights. and I love the trigger .I use a leather magnet holsterJm4 Tactical very comfortable.
I just got a Sig P365 a few weeks ago. I'm going to be switching to it soon because of the weather change. I'm taking it for a test run for the first time today! Great video!🤜🤛🇺🇸🇺🇸
I just bought the Hellcat over the P365 for one primary reason, Springfield put over 10,000 rounds through it before they released it. My G43 is "a little snappy", this thing is a LOT snappy but I'll put up with it. Accuracy and recoil control are significantly improved with the longer 13 round magazine.
Not a fan of my Hellcat. To Snappy, too uncomfortable with the square grip. Despite loving the site. Glad I just sold it and got the shield plus which feels so much better
Hellcat is my primary EDC. The more I shoot it the more I like it. It is an accurate little beast and as a side note when going to the range I shoot it along side of a 45 and a 10mm, believe me when mixing with those I don't notice the recoil. I've come to love my Hellcat.
@@blaineb23 I’ll give you a very simple but honest and blunt opinion. It is indeed snappy, I’ve never ever had a malfunction and have shot it a lot. It’s a dream to carry almost don’t notice it’s on you cause it’s light and compact. Since it’s snappy if you shoot for an entire day your palms may get sore. It’s not forgiving, if you have a bad grip follow up shots and accuracy diminish so it MAKES you hold the gun properly, which imo is a good thing. Only complaints? None. I like the sights as well, I have talon pro grip tape on it and I would upgrade the striker sleeve as soon as you can, it’s plastic from factory I now have a stainless Steele one, so I have peace of mind it won’t sheer. :)
I love my hellcat. The only issue I've ever had was when my striker snapped while I was dry firing. It was quite an odd issue, I've never seen that happen before. Springfield took good care of me though, they fixed it and got it back to me within a couple weeks. It's been great ever since. Overall, it's a pretty good handgun, I dig it. I want to get my hands on the new Hellcat RDP
I got to shoot the Hellcat, p365, and the p365 xl side by side (by side). I found the Hellcat to be the snappiest, and the XL to fit my hands the best. I do have bigger hands though, and that’s why I purchased the XL, it just fit the best out of the 3.
When it was first announced I was excited to get this one. I got mines from cabelas and they have only 10 in and I bought the last one. The next following weeks they completely sold out.
After the launch of P365 it had so many problems and I had two co-workers and family members that bought the P365 and they told me that they had to send the Gun back to Sig because of issues that wasn't allowing the Gun to function properly, that completely turn me off the P365. I got the Hellcat and never had a problem shooting it. 600 💯 rounds and countin' But it is Snappy!
This handgun works well for me with my tiny paws... lol. Great video, man! I see you were shooting left. I know youre an accurate shooter. Tap that sight over a bit and youre dead on!
Sportsman’s outdoor superstore as of today (4-27-21) they have the hellcat in stock for those who are shopping. I have the hellcat, first gen XDS, sig XL and G48 with s15 magazines. All of them have red dots on them. All awesome to me.
What people need to also keep in mind is there IS a 15 round mag for the P365, nothing can compete with that at that size With that kept in mind I'm sure a hellcat 15 rounder will come but sig makes the factory 15 rounder can't beat that
Despite the interweb's considering Springfield the " red-headed stepchild" of gun companies, I have 5 different Springfield pistols, and all are excellent. The only thing that grinds my valves is the Hellcat came out a scant month after I bought the XDS Mod 2.
I have heard that Hellcats have trigger issue if you give sideways pressure and then try squeezing the trigger, it wont budge at all. Just letting you know if you already didnt.
Almost impossible even when trying to cause it especially after you shoot it some. Never happened while just firing but was aware and tried causing it at store. After I tried and realized how hard it is to cause to happen I didnt feel it was a concern at all. Only my experience
Practical accuracy and pinpoint accuracy are a trade off. With something very small and concealable and light pinpoint accuracy isnt what it is designed for. Just looking at that horseshoe sight, it looks to me it would be easy to get a rapid sight picture for a 5-30 feet shot.
Got my OSP - desert sand, yesterday. She’s a beaut 😎 Multiple gunsmiths told me they hate working on Sig’s. That was enough for me, but I personally have never liked sigs either. Had a great dig .22 - good for plinking. But EDC demands more reliability and flexibility than what Sig EDC-designed arms offer.
I'd put the Shield plus ahead of all of these.I own the Plus,Hellcat and I've shot the 365 on several occasions. Its a great time for concealed carrying because the market has great options and all of these guns would serve well.
@@darrencaughey111 I don’t know about that statement. The P365XL is hands down the best compact. It’s definitely a great time for compact hand guns. To each their own.
My hellcat is factory optics ready, and it and a P365 with the xl frame are my two primary carry guns. I wish the sig was optics ready. I will probably get the slide cut.
One bad thing to some, to me. That square bulky grip. It is top-heavy and snappy too. Just sold mine Factor little uses pasture. Glad I did. I just bought the shield Plus. So much better. To each their own
Only thing I have to say about the Hellcat is the same with other springfield rebranded pistols...They do not like small hollow point ammo. hornady critical duty and spear gold dot will catch on the feed ramp where bigger opening hollow points like liberty civil defense and remington golden saber will feed without issue
Been my daily for over a year now. Good pistol and comfy to carry. Prior to that I had a Springfield 911, XDs .40 and .45, the G30, and G29. Off all those this is still my go to.
@@peliROJO for leather I use a desantis pancake owb style and for conceal I use a kydex single clip holster I found on eBay for 25$. The kydex one has been pretty good for me. Wish I knew the brand for you.
I got to shoot the 365 and hellcat side by side before my purchase. Ended up getting the hellcat because it was less snappy and I had better marksmanship with it after shooting 200 rounds each through both guns . Spent like $1400 that day including purchasing the gun and ammo to test both out 😬
I like the trigger and the sights better on the Sig and ultimately ended up going with the P365. Both the hellcat and P365 are great guns. I say shoot both and go with one you like best.
