Thanks, I like your channel, you know what you are talking bout, I will get the Springfield Armory Operator, I wold like to see a video taking it Apart
That’s a tough one. You should go to a range that rents guns and try several different platforms to find the one you like the most. Picking a gun for someone is like buying clothes for someone. You never really know if they’ll like it or not. Wish I could have been of more help.
My 5" prodigy has a horrible frame to slide fit, especially after the ceracote wore off. It is a worse than any 1911 should ba after 30k rounds and I'm at 3k.
That’s what happens with production 1911’s. The consistency varies from gun to gun. I wish a mass produced 1911 manufacturer could find a way to hold tight tolerances and still be able to bring the gun to market close to the 1k price.
If you want to improve slide to frame fit on a production pistol without spending thousands get the gun Accurailed via doug jones. It was 250 when I did it and it feels awsome.
Good video Sir. How did you fix the disconnected hangup? I'm having the same issue. It doesn't appear to impede performance, yet, but just feels like it should return to battery.
I changed the sear in mine too. Clean, crisp break just under 3lbs. Great 1911 for $1K. Mine hung up on the sear disconnect too when I first got it but smooth now. My mec gar mags work great.
Depends on your budget, on the less expensive side look at Dan Wesson on the pricier side look at Wilson Combat or Nighthawk shadow hawk or vice president. All of those will be reliable and dependable and well made.
