I like the modern version, though I always liked Bill too. I remember watching it quite often in those years, cheered me up to see him on TV again having become familiar with him in my childhood. I like his cheerful nature and enthusiasm for wildlife. I am a fan of Simon King and Kate Humble too. I enjoyed Springwatch the most in the early 2010s, when they did a few series with a significant segment in that indoor location at a nature reserve down south, including guest naturalists who would bring in animals of various kinds.
Yes Springwatch did indeed start in 2005 as i remember watching it when it began, in fact my late mum had a stroke that very year and i recall watching the series at home while my mum was recovering in hospital. I also do remember watching one of the episodes from this series with mum on a tv in the hospital ward sitting next to her, so i can't ever forget that time. Sadly my mum passed away just 3 years later. I still watch Springwatch and Autumnwatch even today although the programme has changed over the years the wildlife has reamain largely the same aside from the presenters Chris and Michala, i remember them when they were on the childrens series "The Really Wild Show", way back in the 1990s.
Hi Dean. I am sorry for your loss and thanks for sharing a snippet of your life with us. I think Chris and Mikaila make a great pairing also remember enjoying them on the Really Wild show
@@GoldmineVideo1 Hi Cool Drops, thanks for your kind words there about my late mother. I also remember watching and enjoying The Really Wild Show as well with Chris and Michaela and Terry Nukins who presented the programme along with Chris when in started in 1986
