In this episode of our van conversion series we are building a bike slide for our campervan. Including making a DIY Bike Hitch.
Our wish to be able to store our bikes inside the van turned out to be the most defining design feature of our van. It determined the type of van we bought and it effected the majority of design choices in the interior. It determined the height of the bed and where we put the dividing wall between garage and living area.

Thanks. I am not sure about the exact dimensions. It's about 160 x 50 cm. It just fits a 26" MTB frame lengthwise. On our website you can get a few extra photo's of the build. Hello do you have any idea of total weight fully equipped? I'm doing a l4h2 crafter same as sprinter but weight empty is 2670 kg with full gasoil. Very nice video's well done

The van was about 2450kg empty. We were on 2700 kg when we were half way the build. All the interior was in: beds, benches, table, kitchen, electric panel, shower/toilet. What was NOT included in this was the service battery, water tanks, the toilet itself, mountainbikes and the coolbox. So we calculated we would maybe add about 250- 350 kg when all this was in. So we are at about 3200kg fully loaded with clothes and food :-) We were really conscious about the weigth issue, even when we designed the van and also during the whole build.
