Help please! Your video was really helpful. But now that my headliner is back in, how do I hold the cockpit light assembly in place on the inside of the headliner so I can snap the outer trim ring back on to secure the whole thing in place? When I push up on the trim ring it just pushes the lighting assembly up and I find it hard to pull it down since there aren't any grab points to hang onto.
Troy Bienert use a credit card and slide into the slot that is parallel to the sunglass holder/light pod furthest away from the windshield. It should just fall out.
Thanks for the great video. Extremely helpful and spot-on for removing the headliner for 2019 sprinter. Question: I removed the headliner to provide some insulation in the overhead area and then carefully replaced the headliner (no issues - very simple and straightforward). Now I am getting an alert when starting up the sprinter that there is a malfunction in the right and left airbags. Have you experienced this alert after removing and replacing the headliner? And if so, is there reset that needs to be done to reactive the airbags?
@@vita-girl4345 Removed the headliner without any problems. No airbag alert. Just don't leave your airbags hanging. Replace them on the small hooks while working and you will be fine.
@@dominic81634 I just removed mine, put in noico, insulated with thinsulate, and put it back together. I didn't get the airbag warning either. One thing though, I was able to leave my center light console connected to the headliner. I just propped up the headliner while i worked so it wasn't dangling. I love you tube and people sharing. No way would i have attempted this without these great videos.
