That button is “reheat mode” it’s used for defogging the front windscreen. It used both AC and heat to do it. It should be turned off once the windows are clear.

Hi I have a 2014 sprinter 6 cylinder turbo diesel is an ex ambulance and has a switch with an engine picture and On under it would u know what is it for there is nothing in the vehicle manual and nothing online about it next to it is a switch for rear hearing I think which when u press on it has little red light turns on but when I press on the switch with the engine picture with the on under no light comes up I just wonder what is this switch for I would really appreciate some advice thanks
Have a 2007 sprinter..no lights on fan control panel.with 3 dials .pressed all the buttons...nothing Check fuse and its good and power going to the fuse good Took dash apart checked all connectors, looks all good there pulled the wiring plugs out and reinstalled Took the glove box apart..power getting to the fan..disconnected and reconnected all the wiring plugs still nothing...any ideas please
Fan speeds go from low to high but air from dashboard barely comes out. Like can filter is clogged. It works sporadically at times. Any ideas? 2015 Mercedes-Benz sprinter.
For front AC but probably is the same for roof ac. Sporadically runs but still has working different speed controls replace blower motor. Works either at 100% blowing or 0% blowing replace blower motor relay. If don't blow at all, its usually the blower motor. After get auto zone blower for $160 I would recommend buy the Mercedes benz branded one instead it's worth the $80 extra
Hello Sprinter Guy, Can a auxiliary ELECTRIC compressor be installed to run the rear AC unit. I've been told that an aux compressor can be installed to run the rear roof ac from external power 120v. What you you tell us about this? Any part numbers or kits? Best regards New Sprinter owner, Geoff
The roof compressor is next to the oil pan. And it's coolant lines run up the wall. It's not practical at all the fit or fab a electric compressor to the side or the engine. Furrion Shore Power air conditioner $600.
@@Ninelia518 i know i am explaining to you why they designed it that way, it is always better to heat from the floor because the warm air will rise and heat the entire van
I had the same problem with both of my sprinters- you have to replace the rubber seal between the van and the unit - we tried to lift it just a little and squirt some silicone where it was coming out but that lasted only a few days
@@NickSmith-lh6ok is there any way to have heat on the back ? I live in Colorado and its cold on the back of the van from heat not enough to warm up the rear
LT's Garage as mentioned in this video, the same controls are in place for a vehicles with or without the rear heat option H13. Most people who need to have rear heat install the Espar airtronic d2.
