Itar needs to be deregulated on the knowledge ( imagine of aircraft was to same way as peace time commercial aviation I bet we wouldn’t see as many if any passengers services aka no American Airlines ) side and not so much on the manufacturing side as to protect local workers and regional government. The reason why I feel and think 🤔 this way is because it’s stifling innovation and protecting “ the old boys club “ plus most of the modernised 1 world country’s and trying to start space taxes aka maned space economies or at least that’s what there publicising to the general public. Besides which Cold War secrets are no more for the most part ( and evan if it was that’s what spy’s do for $ and or r&d money is for if you’re ussr ) and some fairly average people have seen things like rocket 🚀 engines and or parts and not every one what’s one for the garage the same thing and airplanes or is a terrorist / evil soviet spy 😂

Hi there, would the trade off between the current stator setup (better than none clearly, but still offering some turbulent flow I imagine?) and having the cleaner vertical downthrust of a contra rotating blade setup and the extra engineering and weight required for this.... be worth looking at? I really don't know how much extra engineering this would take and in all honesty I only 'assume' there is energy lost in the straightening of the flow via stators and that some perhaps minor turbulence is created in this process.... okay, I think I've talked myself out of this idea now :-) PS. This is the coolest thing I've seen for a very long time.

armchair guess: it is finding the throttle point of achieving lift - you can see the last pulse before lift off actually gets it a tiny bit airborne = flight weight lift acheived

Will you be switching back to 3d printed vanes now that the afterburner is gone? It'd be cool to see something like the hybrid EDF jet that tech ingredients made if you decide to bring back the afterburner. It'd be really cool to see something like that on proper rocket since you could possibly recharge in flight at a high enough speed by back-driving the EDF
