Excellent and clear directions. This is just what we were looking for. Purchased Ezekiel bread is $7.50 a loaf now at our stores and we are looking for a way to enjoy this with less cost. We appreciate your efforts of making the video and the directions in the comments.
Thank you! You know, I just love your lack of stainer or other gadgets! Really! I dislike it SOOOOO much, when I see recipes where the person has so many fancy utensils that I don’t have or cannot afford since they are so expensive! This amazing gentleman gave me the chance to say, “I will definitely DO IT” 👍❤️ Wonderful video 👏👏
Simple trick to get the bread not to stick... grease/oil the pan. Then use a powdered flour of some variety to dusk over all the oil. Turn upside-down to get rid of excess flour. Add the dough. Bake. It will release like a dream! Fun recipe. I want to try it. I love the idea of the simple ingredients list. It looks very natural. I like how you made your own yeast, as it were, and how the wheat was never dry ground into flour. Very interesting! Thanks for sharing this!
Oh dang... this technique would work with regular dough, but I guess not so well with the more wet dough, like this. I do think that parchment paper would work though.
Wow! Wow! You really put you hands, feet and heart to making this bread. Brother who cares about the esthetics of the plates it looks great. My mind is only on making this bread and eating it. God bless you 😇😊👍🏻🍷
Thanks for sharing. I bought some 10 L buckets with lid (food grade platic). Drille "100" 3mm holes in the lid. Voila. To speed up fermentation. (And if you want it real sour), you can add some sugar. It lowers the PH very fast ( kills off any molds and "bad" bacterias). I use a kefir culture, and lactobacillus Reuteri DSM 17928 as a starter. (I eat some of it raw. And use different ingredients).
And he worked the stick blender so hard that the blades warped! Then Ezekiel summoned his ninja high-speed blender, and Ezekiel rested from his labour!
am watiching in October 31 2023. I thank you for the wonderful detail of the bread making. I truly apreciate it. I wish that you are OK. Abobe all I wish you peace. Thank you again.
You did a super detailed presentation, thank you. It was great watching your video. I have read that in order for the bread to stay "alive" (with all its enzymes) it needs a very low temperature in the oven for more hours. Are you aware if that is correct? If you are, how many Celsius degrees and for how long?
Hi, that was a wonderful explanation. Thank you. Wanted to know instead of the Hand Stick Blender can I use the wet grinding jar to grind finer in a mixer grinder? Is there any reason to grind so coarse?
A trick that might help you with a sticking bread. Don't wash your bread pans. When bread dries out it doesn't mold and it creates a coat on your bread pan that does not allow the bread to stick.
You show what is the closest to Essene bread that I have seen. I'm sure the original makers used a mortar and pestal. These days, I see, some are using food prossecors. I have also heard of using grandma's old food grinder. I have a stick blender, so will try that. It's hard to use. I have learned, from reading about it, that they would let it bake on hot stones, so not as hot as you suggest. What you have shown is most like I imagined. I'll give it a try... no flour, and for me, no salt added.
Hello, can i use buckwheat instead of a rye/spelt mix? Also, just for clarity, do all the grains need to be sproutable? If not, which ones do i need to make sure will sprout? The finished bread looks yummy and filling!
Yes, you can use buckwheat instead of the rye/spelt mix, but find the taste is not as good. Not all grains need to be sproutable. The ones that need to sprout is the wheat & rye/spelt mixture.
You can use old spaghetti sauce glasses. Wash thoroughly, same with lid. Give it a boil and drill holes in the lid. . Dada, you got sprouting glasses. If you do not like to reuse the lids , use muslim cloth and an elastic. ❤❤❤
I would like to know this also but I thought soft wheat sprouts better but that is usually used with non-yeast pastries like cookies but of course this is a non-commercial yeast bread . . .
Hi there...I see this video is 2 years old, but still hoping you may see my question. I made this recipe just as you show in the video but mine did not turn out like yours did. Mine was very moist in the center, didn't cook well except around the edges, and sank in the middle. Do you have any thoughts or suggestions?
Every oven heats differently, some hotter and some colder. Do you use an oven thermometer? It sounds like your bread was either undercooked or too much moisture was in the dough. Happy cooking!
@@LianaCavalcanti but I guess back in those times they didn’t have as many distractions as we do so maybe they had some tricks and hacks how to do it quicker? 🤔 let’s hope so 😁
Scripture says to make cakes. Im trying sprouting then fermenting into a sour dough and then forming little hand size cakes. No grinding. No blenders. Thus less water. Just allowing nature to enzymatically break down into this nutritional food spoken from the mouth of God. And yes, I must try once at least with the recommendation of cow dung, although i believe God said to use that because there were no other heating/cooking sources in that area then.
I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, O Lord, show this also to thy servant: whether after death, as soon as every one of us yields up his soul, we shall be kept in rest until those times come when thou wilt renew the creation, or whether we shall be tormented at once?" 76 He answered me and said, "I will show you that also, but do not be associated with those who have shown scorn, nor number yourself among those who are tormented. 77 For you have a treasure of works laid up with the Most High; but it will not be shown to you until the last times. 78 Now, concerning death, the teaching is: When the decisive decree has gone forth from the Most High that a man shall die, as the spirit leaves the body to return again to him who gave it, first of all it adores the glory of the Most High. 79 And if it is one of those who have shown scorn and have not kept the way of the Most High, and who have despised his law, and who have hated those who fear the Most High -- 80 such spirits shall not enter into habitations, but shall immediately wander about in torments, ever grieving and sad, in seven ways. 81 The first way, because they have scorned the law of the Most High. 82 The second way, because they cannot now make a good repentance that they may live. 83 The third way, they shall see the reward laid up for those who have trusted the covenants of the Most High. 84 The fourth way, they shall consider the torment laid up for themselves in the last days. 85 The fifth way, they shall see how the habitations of the others are guarded by angels in profound quiet. 86 The sixth way, they shall see how some of them will pass over into torments. 87 The seventh way, which is worse than all the ways that have been mentioned, because they shall utterly waste away in confusion and be consumed with shame, and shall wither with fear at seeing the glory of the Most High before whom they sinned while they were alive, and before whom they are to be judged in the last times. 88 "Now this is the order of those who have kept the ways of the Most High, when they shall be separated from their mortal body. 89 During the time that they lived in it, they laboriously served the Most High, and withstood danger every hour, that they might keep the law of the Lawgiver perfectly. 90 Therefore this is the teaching concerning them: 91 First of all, they shall see with great joy the glory of him who receives them, for they shall have rest in seven orders. 92 The first order, because they have striven with great effort to overcome the evil thought which was formed with them, that it might not lead them astray from life into death. 93 The second order, because they see the perplexity in which the souls of the unrighteous wander, and the punishment that awaits them. 94 The third order, they see the witness which he who formed them bears concerning them, that while they were alive they kept the law which was given them in trust. 95 The fourth order, they understand the rest which they now enjoy, being gathered into their chambers and guarded by angels in profound quiet, and the glory which awaits them in the last days. 96 The fifth order, they rejoice that they have now escaped what is corruptible, and shall inherit what is to come; and besides they see the straits and toil from which they have been delivered, and the spacious liberty which they are to receive and enjoy in immortality. 97 The sixth order, when it is shown to them how their face is to shine like the sun, and how they are to be made like the light of the stars, being incorruptible from then on. 98 The seventh order, which is greater than all that have been mentioned, because they shall rejoice with boldness, and shall be confident without confusion, and shall be glad without fear, for they hasten to behold the face of him whom they served in life and from whom they are to receive their reward when glorified. 99 This is the order of the souls of the righteous, as henceforth is announced; and the aforesaid are the ways of torment which those who would not give heed shall suffer hereafter." 100 I answered and said, "Will time therefore be given to the souls, after they have been separated from the bodies, to see what you have described to me?" 101 He said to me, "They shall have freedom for seven days, so that during these seven days they may see the things of which you have been told, and afterwards they shall be gathered in their habitations." 102 I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, show further to me, thy servant, whether on the day of judgment the righteous will be able to intercede for the unrighteous or to entreat the Most High for them, 103 fathers for sons or sons for parents, brothers for brothers, relatives for their kinsmen, or friends for those who are most dear." 104 He answered me and said, "Since you have found favor in my sight, I will show you this also. The day of judgment is decisive and displays to all the seal of truth. Just as now a father does not send his son, or a son his father, or a master his servant, or a friend his dearest friend, to be ill or sleep or eat or be healed in his stead, 105 so no one shall ever pray for another on that day, neither shall any one lay a burden on another; for then every one shall bear his own righteousness and unrighteousness." .....2 Esdras 7:75 ///////////////////////////,,,,,,,,,,,
Dude you're just making your own flour. Also, and this is important, sourdough contains yeast!!! That's what makes it rise. It also contains any number of other micro biota, including lactic acid bacteria. "What we know with certainty about microbes in sourdough starters is that they include lactic acid bacteria and yeast. The yeasts cause the dough to rise by creating carbon dioxide bubbles, while the lactic acid bacteria provide the sour flavor (in the form of acetic acid and lactic acid) and preserve the bread by lowering its pH, which prevents the growth of food borne pathogens."
The wild yeast is in the air that makes the sourdough. You’re not adding BAKER’S yeast, which now is grown with human cells! Yep. Why? They want to make us cannibals- Because there are evil people thinking up this sht.
I followed your instructions to the letter and even cut back the water when I was grinding up everything as I used my high-speed ninja. I cooked it and it just stayed a wet glob of dough. I am very disappointed. But thank you for your efforts!
When I see that name Ezequiel in my favorite and only bread I always wonder that the name it may be related to some biblical story. I did my research and there you go… P.S.: this gentleman sounds so gentle and sweet that he may be Ezequiel himself.
Know what's confusing about this video? He says 1 and a half cups and writes 1 cup water. I'm taking notes here and am confused. And it would be nice if he could say something about how much exactly it should be blended. And what does he mean by black lentils and green lentils? Green peas? Can anyone clarify? Thanks.
There was two cups of water in the glass container. He said let’s see how it looks. Then he said let’s do one and a half cups. I believe he meant 1 1/2 cups of water. I would blend it, to resemble Irish oatmeal. Not to mushy. Mug beans are green. They sprout really fast. He also used dried chickpeas also known as (garbanzo beans). these are the beans that are used to make hummus. He used 3/8 cup of each. Combine equal 3/4 cups. He used 1/3 cup of each green and black lentils equaling 2/3 cups combined. I hope this helps the confusion.
You say there was no flour in God's recipe given to Ezekiel I don't think this to be correct. All grains, legumes and beans were sun dried after sprouting then milled into a fine flour for making dough. These ingredients after processing become the flour for the bread.
The bread came out raw & gummy, impossible to eat. I cooked it 50 minutes more, and then toasted a slice under the broiler before it was edible. FAIL. Maybe the 9x5 loaf pans are too deep. Should use shallow pan.
It's a small detail, but fiNches are birds, fiTches are a type of grain. Since there are no birds in the recipe, saying the word correctly would be appreciated.
You left out the most important part! Do you bake your Ezekial bread with human dung or with cow dung? If you want the authentic experience you need to follow the instructions that are given in the Bible! Let me know how that works out for you!
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO use cow dung or if you're REALLY looking for the blessing use human dung as originally instructed. Use an outdoor oven covered in mud. THIS is the only really way to make Ezekiel bread.
You left out one ingredient, verse 12-15 And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight... v15 Then he said unto me, Lo, I have given thee cow's dung for man's dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread therewith. Cherry picking the scriptures is not scriptural nor honest.
that’s not an ingredient, but the fuel source for the fire they cooked with. But they did get permission to use cow dung instead of people poop to burn. But then again, lol, if they had a clean stone fire pit for the baking, it probably would not make much difference what they burn, lol.
@@dagmarkugler7662 it's all about how you want to interpret scripture and what you want it to say..... and what particular version you use. If one doesn't like what one version says, people will just choose another of the many dozens of Bible versions, it is a confusing mess! Either way, whether dung is part of the ingredients in the dough, or if it is to be used as a fuel source, it should be used if the author of this video is quoting scripture and suggesting that bread should be made this way.
There are few places remaining in the world where anyone has access to dried cow dung and a safe means to both burn and cook with it. If this young man is in a city or suburban area dung burning would be near impossible. Just as he used different grains and a different shape from the original recipe, he changed the method of cooking. He was honest about both from the beginning when he quoted the scripture. Happy cooking!
