great explanation: quick question though? the scale seem ordinal, why use mean and not median? asking because this has always confused me in that I see researches do both!
Thanks a lot for the video. Could someone please just tell how to change the variable type to Numeric without losing the values we have on data view? I have a questionnaire to analyze and it's exactly the same case as on this video. Please help. When I switch the variable type into Numeric all the values disappear, as they aren't numbers but values like : "Very low, low, average…"
go to the transform tab in spss then code in to same variable then select the variable for which you want to transform the value it has option like old and new for instance you can replace 0 with very low then 1 with low and so on,after that you can change data type to numeric from variable view tab also provide values and labels there
Thank you for your video. How can I calculate ceiling and floor effect? Nobody has explained it yet. It would be more useful to test the reliability of scales.
