@thomlaur This sled was a project sled from Mc-Xpress and approximitly around 500hp on full effect, its a huge turbo on it that can delivers up to 400hp. You cant buy this setup even today, the sled wont hold in the long run with this turbo, in this clip we could just use half the throttle cause both the track and the drive belt would explode if we did. This is one of a kind sled, today you can find sleds with much more horsepower but at the point when we filmed this clip it was the worst one.
That is a open air filter that u hear from the wastegate since there's not a blow off :) u can get this sound of any turbocar/scooter/bike from just have an open air filter.. Love that sound
Veru nice machine! I had the oppertunity to ride a turbo Apex with much less power than this one, and it had more balls than my 1000 cat hands down, I just felt it little wierd to get used to the extra weight, didn't want to turn like my 2 stroke 1kcc cat, but the Apex outclimed my cat without a doubt. I like both sleds, but really was taken by the Apex tubrbo's raw power to climb. All in all it's a great sled, hell thier ALL fun, long as it's got a motor I dun really care lmao. Cheers, IC.
Almost a ton of fun well 605lbs dry and with no turbo. But stilll the Apex is still a fun sled to ride. Almost got one after I rode it till we got it stuck.
Man that Turbo is going to go 💥. It needs a different blow off valve before that surge with a capital S pukes the bearings out, snaps the shaft, or disintegrates the wheel.
@@maurinlauri5260 Turbo flutter doesn't only kill the bearings. It makes the shrieking sound because air is squeaking between the impeller and housing. Pressuring the intake to maximum and then letting it go. It slows down the turbo shaft speed nearly instantly by deadheading the turbo. Not only does it strain the turbo, the worst side effect is maximum turbo lag because it is slowed down to the point it is no longer compressing air. It's cheaper and easier to eliminate a blow off valve but it hurts performance.
@MrTONIGHT454 You cant ride with full throttle, we just use half the throttle here cause both the track and the drive belt will explode if we do. It is an project sled from McXpress...
I have just got my Apex back from Mc-Xpress and they put a blow off valve on it and I only have 290hp so I seriously think that there is one this one aswell, most likely on the intercooler/plenum.
@wannis666 is that the turbo unspooling when u let off the gas. and holy crap man. u should set that bad boy up as a drag sled. ud be runnin 180+ mph easy :) rockon dude
@frazerdaman I just had my stock 2010 apex mtx to Tompsons pass by Valdez Alaska and it out climbed the three guys i was with on their 800's. only thing is to be sure to turn out before you bury it, "only common sence"
That`s nice:) so much power! but... the thing with these sleds are the weight, a friend of me got the same sled, and its soo heavy! but im sure you have alot of fun with them:D

Looks like somewhere in Quebec, would be my first guess. I have an '04 Warrior and it is the best thing i ever sat my arse on and flattened the smile lever.....
Yah you right;) well if you got a short track sled .. it`s not all about hp if you dont got grip in powder. but as this sled is long track or, isn`t it? but like this sled with 500hp and long track, then you`r unstoppable hehe, and it would be awesome to try it out:D
