This is excellence! In most other installation videos I saw how to tighten the screw but nothing about the tricky insertion of the metal band. Thanks a lot!👍
Rarely ride with hands on top so bell by stem as shown is poor location since phone & Garmin mounts reside there and too much time to move hands to ring bell. Hands typically on hoods or drops so installed Spurcycle just below hoods so it can be rung without moving hand.
The attachment design is an absolute nightmare - worst design concept ever. It took me ages to put this bell on my bike - yes, it too me ages to put a chuffing bell on my bicycle. Good video.
Does that metal band scratch the handlebar? Wish they would provide a rubber insert to place between the band and bar to keep the band from scratching a $400 carbon bar.
Any reason it would be a bad idea to temporarily remove the bell from the base and just install the base first? You can remove the bell head to replace the rubber feet, so I assume it's okay to remove the bell head... no?
How tight to tighten the bell with the Allen key? I just ordered a knockoff spurcycle (rockbros brand) and it has the same mounting. Also is it easy to swap from bike to bike? I have several bikes. Thanks for the video and tips!
