The fact that you hear so many fans outright saying they are rooting for their team to *lose* means that, in their minds, the top 4 race is *already* essentially over (given that Tottenham *must* win *both* remaining matches, and even *then* - given the goal difference - if Aston Villa *draws* at home against Crystal Palace, they've "unofficially" secured top 4 on goal difference unless Tottenham outscores their opponents by >9 goals in the next two matches), and that the only question left is whether or not their biggest rivals will have *only* Champions League bragging rights over them or *both* title and Champions League bragging rights over them!
