Yor's cooking was a main story chapter and Franky's story was a short extra chapter

Both these stories are canon manga stories by the same writer. The Franky stuff is showing Twilight does care despite him pretending he “doesn’t” get attached. He does and he already is attached not just to Yor and Anya but also to Franky. The fact he talked about it while sad as well shows you how he’s going to struggle a lot in the future with keeping his emotions in check.

Twilight’s clear feelings towards both Anya and Yor made him truly risk his mission. He put their feelings over the mission and that’s huge for someone like him. He keeps lying to himself and saying everything he does is for the mission yet you see him clearly doing things that will either risk his mission ( risking his life and identity to save Anya in episode 1 and leaving the interview/ threatening/breaking the table in episode 4) or things that are completely unnecessary for his mission like baking cookies himself or giving Anya an awesome room. It’s going to be very hard for him to face the truth and it will put him under a lot of stress that’s why he finds the need to remind himself that he’s doing all these things for the mission even when the mission doesn’t truly need all that. For Yor it’s a great camouflage and an amazing opportunity to live in a place where she feels accepted and needed. It gives her a sense of “normality”. For Loid it’s completely different. He can’t even be a normal person because he has to constantly be someone different to the point he forgets who he is. Yor still keeps her name , job , brother and the people she knows. While Loid has to uproot himself and completely change everything about himself from mission to mission. It’s the worst kind of life where nothing is permanent and when you have no time to rest. Your soul is permanently trapped in an unending cycle of pretend. That’s why admitting he’s doing something for anything other than his mission is self sabotaging. It’s something he’s not ready to deal with right now.

Multiple time during this episode I thought in Jontron's voice. "Holy fucking shit you killed them dude!!!" And when she fucked up the meatball my gut reaction out loud was just "HOW?!?!"

Personal worst kitchen accident: I got a new cheese grinder and surprise, surprise, they are sharper than my old one! I cut off part of my thump. You could watch my skin going from pale, red spots growing like a rash and than a red river flowing over my Hand. 😅

Worst cooking (related) injury I ever had. We used to have the elevated chicken coup that had an exposed screw. One of the chickens snapped at me and I pulled back my hand, ripping my finger open on said screw. Still have the scar to this day.

Hm, so, it seems like Episode 16 really did cover One Chapter, but also Short Chapter 2 alongside it. Now, based on the Preview, it seems like Episode 17 will also just cover One Chapter, but considering how this one turned out, it wouldn’t surprise me if Episode 17 turned out to be covering a Short Chapter too. But regardless, i guess we’ll see.
