I think the two other icons on the blade is Sal Glesser’s and Eric Glesser’s initials. The knife's designers.

I'm a Traditionals knife guy myself , but my concession to Knife modernity is the Spyderco Delica (non - serrated , black handle and plastic fixed clip ) , I bought three in late 90's and thirty years later I'm still using the first one , I opened . A great knife , pure utility , function over form . The Delicas and a Spyderco Sharpmaker are the only Spyderco products I own , but if they are still reflective of Spyderco quality , I'm sure this is a fine knife . Maybe it's time for another Spyderco purchase . Great review .

The pm2 was my first real expensive knife and first spyderco. 5 years later I have 30 spyderco now.....yikes

A great knife! I think you'll find over time as you use it more and more that it really is worth the money. One of my favorite Spydercos.

Great knife. I have a Cruware PM2 it's fantastic.

I don't own any Spyderco knives. The closet I have is a Byrd Meadowlark II. After using the Meadowlark, I can certainly see why folks like Spyderco. Thanks for sharing, John.

I really like my PM2. I've had it for about four years now, and it's been a staple in my carry rotation ever since. Glad you got your hands on that one, buddy!

As with iconic designs are; you love it or you hate it. It took some time time for me to love it. The hole and the bump they really work fine as ergonomics go, not love on first sight. You have to hold one in hand to see why they look as they do, it is very comfortable. Thank you for the review TK.

Awesome and very detailed review! I have several PM 2's myself, some are exclusives with various steels and are not safe queens either, they get used in the field, at home on camping trips, and on duty. The PM 2 is a primary edc for me. Hopefully you find that knife that hits the sweet spot for you to edc. Thanks for sharing brother, subbed!👍

good review. spyderco makes real solid knives. i wish their customer service and warranty was a little better thats what sets benchmade apart from them for me but they are a very good knife.

Very interesting buy!!!! I was not expecting that one!!!! Saying that they are one of the best EDC knives on the market……. Gettin into the knife hobby everyone starts with Spydercos very cool piece John…… next time you have to try the para 3…… then the lightweights lol don’t go down the Spyderco rabbit hole I’ve got about 300 of them!!!!! Handling a paramilitary 2 was what got me into knives. Our IT guy at my company had one and was showing off the “spydie flick.” I bought a dragonfly to start as the PM 2 seemed huge to me at the time. My daily carry is a Spyderco chaparral. It’s so thin I can clip it inside my wallet.

Interesting that you decided to go with the right-handed version of this. For me with compression locks, I have found that while I can work them as a lefty, I've also found that I have dropped the knife and feel less secure using compression locks that are made for right-handed users. It's a nice knife and I think it would grow on you more as you used it (quality knives can do that) but it would be mostly a safe queen for me in this country so I'll stick to my Real Steels with the moderns, low price, pretty good quality and they keep Nanny Government off my back.

Para2 on TK niiiiiiiiiiiice- solid blade , only spydy I've kept throughout the Years is the Lil native solid small blade- Def recommend- maybe.... boogie man approved

I bought both the black and satin blade versions with those same scales years ago and I really like them. Of course they have gone up in price now.

As a long time spyderco customer, I have watched their prices climb. Some of their models are now just over priced.. they went up like 35.00 a year or two ago. I’m still a customer but wish they hadn’t raised their retail on them. Some models are a comparative bargain. Endura, stretch 2 in k390, those are still a decent price.
