Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon Soundtrack - Buzz's Dungeon 

For it being the first boss, this battle had pretty dark music.

"No worries, though. This wussy green toad will be no match for the two of us."

I remember immediately handing the controller to my mum when I got to this battle. She was way better at boss battles than me. Now I beat her in basically every game.

Easily the most frightening battle of my childhood.

Heavy nostalgic value here...The theme so lush with darkness and evil really made a good boss soundtrack.

The drums in this are dope

Buzz is one of my favorites to fight, and his boss theme is my favorite in the whole game ^^

i think this sounds better for a theme for The Sorceress

without question the best boss fight music in the game!!! so terrifying, so mysterious, at a point kind of melancholic but nevertheless amazing!!! XD

The Boss Fight Music for Spyro3 is some of the Scariest and most Epic Music that has ever been heard by human ears

One of my favorite most memorable bosses for whatever reason as a kid. Song still is sick!

This sounds like a more suitable theme for a much later boss, tbh.

So much foreboding and dread in this piece, and that unsettling ringing in the background. Definitely one of the best for creating the mood of a boss fight.

This song brings memories of when I was 7 years old and used to play PS1 , This was my favorite game , so much emotion , I'll cry..

Hm... I feel like this game needed a Boss Battle with Bianca (who was once the Sorceress's assistant. That was her name right?) about halfway through Evening Lake. I dunno why, I just thought it'd fit because she caused Spyro and his friends a lot of mischief as the game's story progressed. Perhaps maybe there coulda been a point where Spyro got fed up with her and eventually had to battle her in order to save Hunter (as he was captured by her about halfway through the story, wasn't he?). Make sense? Do you guys agree? I apologize if I got a few things messed up. It's been about 10 years since I've played Spyro 3's story fully...

I've gotta be honest, no other game EVER has captured me as much as this one has. I enjoy games like Skyrim, Deus Ex, TF2, Half Life, but NONE were as awesome as this.

For a normally light-hearted game, Spyro 3's boss themes are really dark and ominous. Creates a sort of "mood whiplash" at times.

it follows the chart of literally every game. as graphics go up, gameplay goes down. not kidding you, that's the same with EVERYTHING. look at Minecraft, 16-pixel textures and FUN AS HELL.

Yes, good point. There are a few games that are like that, too. They seem to be getting much more common now, as developers see how important a decent fanbase is.

I remember as a kid I used to shit my pants everytime I had to defeat this boss.. my dad didn't want to help me because he wanted me to defeat him.. I can remember the got damn lava around the area.. I remember when I jamp to the area I had to move before this green froggy (yes I called him that as a kid) saw me... oh boy :D This spyro has got to be the best one ive played

@halomad834 I think Stuart Copelands stayed to do that soundtrack, I'm not sure. I recommend Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly too, as that's similar to this game ^^

It's nice to hear some of these old themes again. It's a shame that the later Spyro titles were not as brilliant as the original. It took too much energy away from child-friendly themes and collectability elements such as orbs and gems and made it a little too limitedly-mystical (where you could have more magical elements, but you ran out of breath energy too quickly).

Mhmm. One of the newer ones that comes to mind is Chivalry: Medieval Warfare. That game has amazing dynamics (even if a few bugs) and hilariously fun gameplay, and looks pretty good, too. If my computer could run it and my internet could download it fast enough, I would have participated in the Free Weekend that they had earlier.

I wonder why I always finish on these soundtracks...

I swear to god, I think my head is going to explode from nostalgia.

He would just been killed, turned into a butterfly, and fed to Sparx. Life sucks for critters in the Spyro universe. There's a thought- maybe he was attacking Spyro to avenge the other critters.

I agree to. The only fun game for me now is Spyro, Spyro Ripto's Rage, Spyro year of the dragon, Crash bandicoot warped. And Skyrim for xbox. Skyrim is the only fun nowadays game for me.

A lot of games these days take themselves really seriously- it'd be nice to see AAA companies do some great colourful kinda games, y'know? It shouldn't just be up to Nintendo. Saying that though, I'm so happy to see Ubisoft wake up and make Rayman the gorgeous 2D game it was always meant to be.

@xXRogueFloppersXx I think Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly was decent. It was the last spyro game to include portals to stages, collecting gems as an objective and capturing something (Dragonflies). And also the Hero's Tail was a good adventure game, but I wouldn't call it a classic Spyro game
