Great video as always, man! I've gotta say though, it's so strange to see so much fog in a GameCube Spyro game when the PS1 games essentially pioneered draw distance in 3D games. It's also odd to see so many beats taken from a Ratchet game - the shop screen, the final boss being accidentally blown up in size, it's...interesting, to say the least.
Thanks man! It does indeed take inspiration from Ratchet and the original Jak and Daxter. For times sake I decided not to put that in but yeah, it took influence from 2 of the greats
I have really mixed feelings about this game. On one hand it kept to the style gameplay of the original trilogy, on the other hand it wasn't nearly as good as them. Out of all the non-insomniac games this one is definitely one of the better ones although that's not saying that much as the others were absolutely terrible. I'd personally give this game a 6-7/10 overall with the original trilogy sitting somewhere between 8-9/10.
Project Gamer This is nowhere as good as the original trilogy but I loved it. I didn’t find it to be in that “okay” range. I was very impressed and had a ton of fun. But I totally respect your opinion and see where you’re coming from.
The only Spyro game I’ve ever played is one of the isometric GBA ones. Can’t remember which. Also Slylanders. I was, like, 11. Glad he’s coming back. Then you can talk about it.
I used to have this game and I could never progress past the 2nd world because the game would always tell me that my data was corrupted. Only got glimpses of the 3rd world.
This was actually the last Spyro game I ever played, and I actually enjoyed it. Not as much as the other games, but I still enjoyed it. Also, still hate Money Bags. Don't care how they try to change him. *Hate. Him.*
I definitely didn't like this game as much as you did. I had way more issues with the game just straight-up not working like it should. That being said, I still think it's a pretty decent game. great video, my dude
Thanks my man! I luckily never experienced any sort of hiccup, glitch or anything in my play through. If you don't mind me asking, what system did you play it on?
I have played through it on PS2 and Xbox now. And it's not glitches, it's more just certain platforms are designed so you have to time your jump PERFECTLY to get on and especially the tail swing bars. They work properly like, 30% of the time. Sometimes I'll just phase right through them.
CRANTIME That’s so crazy because I never ran into any problems. Although I can relate because on some games that a lot of people loved anytime I have played through it it was broken as hell. I don’t wanna say the name 😅
I’m 70% finished with this game , also I beat robo red . But the game glitched and only saves past where you get the ice breath . so I have to have an external save to keep progress . I’m definitely probably done with this game , not sure if it’s worth 100%ing since the shooting mini games are almost impossible just sit there angry for an hour until it’s done . then there’s the blink mini games which are terribly annoying, sparks mini games are annoying and not as fun as the first trilogy . Sargent bird mini games are alright .
I completely forgot about this game and I know I've at least played through the first area. I could've sworn the series went from Enter the Dragonfly to the rebooted trilogy for the last decade.
That's the thing...I did too! I randomly saw this at a Vintage Stock and was intrigued by looking at the back of the box. Safe to say I was very happy with my decision.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloom_(shader_effect) In certain areas, especially the underwater ones, I find the the devs put way too much bloom on certain objects like the corals for example. As such it makes everything look blurry and hard to look at.
Gobblin215 started a new job and that’s been taking up a lot of my time. Also, my band is gearing up to release and album so I’ve been really focused on that. I have a couple videos coming soon
