SQ11 HD mini camera onboard micro racer drone

I saw an interesting advertising with HD and 140° wide angle for that SQ11 mini camera, so I immediately purchased for recording the video footage from my micro quads.
Do you think a tiny micro quad of 90mm/100mm will be able to carry it and fly correctly?
Is that camera good enough to record nice videos onbard with HD quality?
I let you watch that video and conclude if micro quad and SQ11 can match. Waiting for your comments!

Hi , i think u should put a tiny piece of cloth on the microphone to stop the grinding noise and Also put a flat little piece of sticky foam underneath ur cam to Stop the vibration.. anyway thanks for sharing

Nice, thanks for testing for us. Saves us 6eur (SQ11 price today). Now a new SQ12 is out, will you try it on your quad? My dream HD cam is to strip down a Mobius mini, and power it from the quad battery. Would be great and maybe < 12g...

SQ11 weight is 9.5 gramms. 9.5 < 12 Weight is 5.5 gramms without box, 3 gramms without battery (you can connect to flight battery via BEC) and it is 2.1 gramm without facing plate and IR lamp. Just do it!

@LACABANEDUREVEUR On en rêve tous de la HD sur micro ! Mais bon 120grs pour l'aurora 90 c'est too much pour voler en acro. Pour de la prise vue ça peut le faire mais dans ce cas autan sortir son 250 avec gimble ;-) Merci pour le comment ! Bon vols :-)

I have one on order for $11. Gonna hang it on a mid size quad. At that price you can't get burned too bad.

Put about 7 mm sponge around the camera and you will have the perfect shot, it will amortize the shaking of the drone with a sponge :)~

Wow this looks like shit. I think some worthwile mods would be to de-case it and make an angled mount for the camera module with some foam rubber.

fallingwater yes some guys did that mod for a better Fov. It works but don't think you will have a go pro vidéo result. Its fps is also not adapted to fast image moving...

nico2nice FPV Yeah, there are compromises to be made here, but for the moment the only alternative is a de-cased 808#16 - and while that one does take better video it's also larger and three times as expensive.
