غنی صاحب میں نے آپ کی کہانی روتے روتے سُنی ہے تین دفعہ اور تینوں بار میں اپنے جذبات پر قابو نہیں رکھ سکا اور آنسو نہیں روک سکا۔ میں پینسٹھ میں تیرا برس کا تھا ایبٹ آباد میں۔ آپ نے جتنی تفصیل سے ہمیں اپنی کہانی سُنائی وہ میں نے آج تک نہیں سُنی آج میں نے وہ سنا جو میں کافی عرصے سے سننا چاہ رہا تھا۔ بے شک پاکستان کی فضائیہ نے کمال کیا اور انشالہ کرتی رہے گی۔ بہت لطف آیا اور بہت حوصلہ بھی بڑھا۔ اللہ آپ کو ایک لمبی اور صحت مند زندگی عطا فرماے آ پ کے کارنامے ہمیشہ کے لیے ہماری تاریخ کا حصہ بن چُکے ہیں۔ کاش کہ میں آپ سے کبھی مل سکتا اور آپ کا ہاتھ چھو سکتا۔ آپ کی بہت بہت مہربانی۔ اللہ آپ کو اور آپ کی فیملی کو ہمیشہ خوش رکھے۔ آمین۔ باقی مجھے نہیں معلوم کہ آپ کو کوئی میڈل ملا یا نہیں اگر نہیں ملا تو کیوں نہیں ملا۔ لیکن میری طرف سے آپ ایک میڈل قبول کرنا ہو گا جو صرف دعاوں پر مشتمل ہے۔ کہ اللہ آپ کے درجات ُبلند فرماے اس دُنیا میں بھی اور اُس دُنیا بھی۔

Very nice narration of 1965 Air strikes. My father (then FL Lt. M. Afzal Ch. was also flying one of the Sabres in the Pathankot strike.

I was 12 years old when war broke and there was big blast in the sky over Lahore to alert people that war has started . Our residence was very close to Lahore railway station and planes were passing over all the time to protect trains carrying ammunition which we found out later. Nice to know that our hero ghani saheb flew over lahor during the war to protect his countrymen. We salute him for his excellent service for the country

I am amazed by this man,s humility, considering he was an ace pilot. Think of Yeats and his an Irish airman foresees his death. I am Indian and was once in Iaf. I know they destroyed iaf base aircraft's in Pathankot. He speaks with sense of reality without calling India in spiteful words.

سلام عظمت فخر پاکستان ایم ۔ ایم ۔ عالم اور سب ناقابل فراموش ایسے ہیروز کو ۔ یہ سار ی بہادری اور یکجہتی دنیا کے قابل فخر جنرل اختر حسین ملک کشمیر کی کمانڈ میں لڑی گئی اور چونڈہ کی خوفناک و مثالی جنگ بریگیڈیر عبد العلی ملک کی کمانڈ میں لڑی گئی ۔ جو دونوں سگے بھائی تھے ۔ سلام ایسی ماوں کو جہنوں نے ایسے غیرت مند ۔ صاف گو ۔ وطن کے گرویدہ پیدا کئے ۔ سلام سب فخر پاکستان کو ۔ مجھےبھی فخر ہے کہ میرے باپ نے 2 بلوچ رجمنٹ کے تحت بدن سے بم باند ھ کے اپنے تین بھائیوں سمیت چونڈہ کے محاذ پر بے جگری سے لڑے ۔ ماشاءاللہ چاروں بھائی چھ فٹ سے زیادہ دراز قد تھے ۔ یہ بھی بتاتے کہ ہمارے پاس چار چار وردیاں ہوتیں ۔ جب ہم بدل بدل کر مختلف پوزیشنیں سنبھالتے تو وہ سمجھتے کہ نئی تازہ دم کمک آ گئی ہے میرے باپ کی مضبوطی کو دیکھ کر توپخانے میں بھی ان سے بہت ڈیوٹی لی گئی اس سے ان کا جسم بہت مضبوط تھا وہ کہتے تھے ۔ من من کا گولہ سارا دن لگا تار جب ڈالتے جانا تو جسم کیوں مضبوط نہ ہوتا ۔ عام زندگی میں بھی وہ 4۔ 5 بندوں کو تو سمجھتے ہی کچھ نہ تھے ۔ بلکہ میرے دادا کے پانچ بیٹے تھے ۔ اس میں چار جوان ۔ اس قابل تھے کہ فوج میں جا سکتے ہیں میرے دادا جان نے اپنے چاروں لخت جگر فوج کو د ے دیئے ۔ چاروں پوری سروس کر کے غازی بن کے بفضل تعالی' لوٹے اور میرے باپ کو ستارہ حرب ملا ۔ 1965 کی جنگ کے وقت میری عمر قریبا" ساڑھے چار سال تھی ۔ مجھے اچھی طرح یاد ہے ہماری گھر کھلی حویلی میں لوگ جمع ہو جاتے تھے خبریں سننے کیلئے ۔ کیونکہ پورے گاوں میں ریڈیو ہمارے گھر میں ہوتا تھا ۔ فل آواز میں ایوب خاں کی تقریر سنائی جاتی ۔ ایک تو گرج دار آواز خدا نے اس دی تھی ۔ دوسرا فل volume لوگوں کی تعداد کیوجہ سے کر دیتے تو گھر اور دیواریں اس سے درسکتے تھے۔ اور عجیب جوش ہر ایک فرد میں بھر جاتا تھا ۔ رات کو فل بلیک آوٹ ہوتا تھا ۔ رات کو گھروں کی چھتوں پر اگر کوئی جہاز چکر کاٹتا تھا تو گھر والے فورا" چھت پر جاتے تو دیکھتے کہ کوئی چمکنے والی چیز یا برتن ہوتا وہ فورا" remove کر دیا جاتا ۔ کوئی انڈیا کا جہاز آتا اس کے پیچھے پاکستانی جہاز لگا ہوتا تو جوش سے لوگ نیچے سے کہنا شروع ہو جاتے۔ پکڑ لو اس کو جانے نہ دینا۔۔۔ اور جو چیز بھی ہاتھ میں درانتی ۔ پتھر یا کلہاڑی ہاتھ میں ہوتی اوپر انڈین جہاز کی طرف پھینکتے اور نعرے اور گالیاں نکالتے ۔ ایک بے انتہا جوش ۔ غیض و غضب اور غیرت بھری ہوئی ہر چھوٹے بڑے میں میں نے خود دیکھا ہے ۔ میں خود بھی جوش سے ان کے پیچھے کوٹھے پر چڑھ جاتا ۔ حالانکہ بار بار ریڈیو میں ہدایت ہو رہی تھی کہ لوگ گھروں کے اندر رہیں ۔ چھتوں پر نہ جائیں اور کوئی چمکنے والی چیز باہر نہ چھوڑیں ۔ مگر لوگ جوش سے ان ہدایات پر قابو نہیں کر پا رہے تھے ۔ ایک عجیب کیفیت اور جنون تھا ۔ کہ ان کے سامنے کوئی دشمن آ جائے ۔ یہ چیر پھاڑ کے رکھ دیں ۔ مگر قوم کو ایک مٹھی کی طرح میں نے دیکھا ۔ آپس میں کوئی تفرقہ نہ تھا ۔ ہر پاکستانی ایک دوسرے کا بھائی کا کندھا بنا ہوا تھا ۔ وطن کی محبت میں سر شار ایک دوسرے پر فدا ہونے کو تیار بیٹھا تھا ۔ بزرگ ان کو بار بار سنبھالنے اور صبر کرانے پر لگے رہتے تھے ۔ یہ سب میں نے اپنی آنکھوں سے دیکھا ۔ میرے خیال میں دشمن قوتوں نے قوم کے جذباتی ہونے سے فائدہ اٹھانے اور قومی اتحاد کو پارہ پارہ کرنے کیلئے اپنے paid ایجنٹوں کو مولویوں اور اسلامی فرقوں کا رنگ د ے کر ان کے ذریعے یہ تفرقہ بازی پھیلاتے ہیں اور پاکستان کو کمزور کر رہے ہیں ۔ محب وطن اور وفا داروں پر فتوے لگواتے ۔ تنگ کرتے ہیں اور ان کے خلاف نفرت پھیلا رہے ہیں تاکہ یہ خاموش ہو جائیں اور پاکستانی شرافت بھی اب تقریبا" گونگی ہو چکی ہے ۔ اب بظاہر ان دشمن قوتوں کی کائیں کائیں کا شور بلند سنائی دیے رہا ہے ۔ خدا تعالی' تمام پاکستانیوں کے دلوں کے سب زنگ دور کر د ے ۔ آمین اپنے وطن اور انسانیت کیلئے انمول ہیرے بن کر اپنی زندگی بسر کریں ۔ اور ثابت کر دیں کہ یہ واقعی وہ پاکستانی ہیں جن کا انتہائی بلند کردار والا مقام پاکستان بنانے والوں نے اپنے دل میں سوچا تھا اور امید کی تھی کہ آئندہ سارے ایسے نوجوان ہوں جو پاکستان کو اس کا چوٹی کا مقام عطا کر دیں ۔ میرے مولا ان پاک نیت لوگوں کا خواب پاکستان کیلئے پورا کرنے والے لوگ عطا فرماتا چلا جا ۔ اور مخالف کو مٹاتا و کچلتا چلا جا ۔ آمین

Great pilots of PAF....Pakistan's pride.....but one thing is missing....that Pakistan had attacked india first through Operation Gibraltar in first week of August 1965.....and 31st August the Operation Grandslam.....to capture Kashmir....which almost succeeded but due to Ayub Khan's treachery with nation ....when he replaced Gen Akhter Malik with Gen Yahya Khan....Pakistan lost the golden opportunity to capture Kashmir.....then India inorder to release pressure attacked mainland Pakistan at Lahore & Sialkot ..........thats the sad truth which nation doesn't know....and have been kept in dark till this day......

The biggest downfall of Pakistan's military victory in 1965 war was the defeat of Pakistan in 1971 war as the Indians were victorious they tried to show that India has won the both wars of 1965 and 1971 (history is surely written by the winners)
