I've been flying for about 2 weeks now on servers. Felt like trying to see how I do in the tutorial. Gonna try for sub 5 minutes next time! HOTAS: Thrustmaster T16000m Throttle & Virpil Constellation Delta Joystick
I just started playing and I liked the idea of being a pilot since the server I play on doesn't seem to have a lot of takers for the role... bought a stick... I have so long to go before actually getting into a live game lol. Well done man, you killed it!
Found you through this video... not bad flying for a Gladius pilot. Glad i found someone that plays my newest game (Squad) and my favorite game (SC). Subscribed.
I thought this would be easy compared to navigating asteroid fields with FA off or pulling off a high speed helix of death approach to avoid station gankers. I was wrong
My hotas/hosas setup is about $1500+ by now. I suggest starting with something reliable and cheap like the T16000m HOTAS from Thrustmaster. It was what I started with and recommend to new HOTAS pilots.
The term you're looking for is FPV (Flight Path Vector). Having an integrated HUD like they have on their helmets with your speed, altitude, attitude, compass and FPV indicated would be amazing. Are pedals enabled in squad yet? Coz flying a heli without pedals is still a no go for me...
@@mirkywater8635 Oh cool, wasn't aware of that. Last time I checked I couldn't figure out how to bind the controls. Can you do it within the squad controls setup page?
@@findingnessy2113 i think you could do it on the game with the new updates, there is also an old school method of editing the .txt file that has the binds
@@Hantick to control the rudder. Wouldn't be ideal with driving pedals since aircraft pedal move opposite to each other (push the left one, right one moves closer to you)
If you don’t mind me asking, how did you set up your HOTAS? Did you use a software to integrate your joystick to squad? Because I can only link a few commands to my HOTAS..
It's quite hard for me to control it for the first time. Especially the fact I found out that the helicopter in Squad uses trim function, meaning you don't have to constantly push the joystick to move. In other words, the pitch and roll will not automatically go to zero when you put the joystick in neutral. You have to make it neutral yourself, especially with the spring joystick.
I recently discovered this. Can't tell with mouse because you assume moving back to the "center" is manually required whereas a stick does this for you. Not the case unfortunately. Making flying much more difficult than I anticipated...
Hey man! Nice video. Wondering how you set up your HOTAS and got it working. I have been able to make my joystick work, but not the thruster part of my HOTAS. I use a Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas 4. Do you have any tips?
Yo crazy you have virps but then are using the super cheap thrustmaster throttle I was expecting the warthog or virpil throttle intresting but if your not using it often makes sense. 🤣👍
@@mirkywater8635 yes sir I just ordered my self some virps for SC and thought about using them on squad which I do have my old x56 if I needed a throttle but good stuff man I can wait my self
5min 7sec while wasting 10-12 seconds searching and swerving all over the place? Thats really fucking fast when you compare that to "pros" doing that course without swerving, just full speed through the rings and finish on 5min 1sec
