My grandpa has that same bailer and has been working great out at the farm for over 40 years. Granted now we have moved on to round bails some years ago, but we still break out the square bailer for some square bails each year.
It’s a factory baler it will bale faster. Dad is just taking his time baling so the hay rake stays way ahead of the baler Thanks for watching and commenting
Nice 124!! (Is that a different pickup speed than factory, somehow? Looks/sounds slower than I’m used to with mine. Looks like it’s doing a great job!)
we have an old 124 just like yours. we made over 1500 bales with it this year, she's still punching them bales out. your bales look good too ! good job on the double ( or triple ) windrows, that's the way to do 2nd cutting! the only thing you need now is a wagon to stack on, i hate collecting bales off the ground!
Your right brother the old balers do a good job We enjoy putting up hay like the summer time it’s the best time of year it’s hard to believe summer is about over we still have a little more hay to mow in a few weeks thanks for watching and commenting
I have a Massey Ferguson square baler and rake just like that, nice tight bales.I like Square bailing if you have an Barn to put it in. And help to give it up.
Great video and a nice clean field, when I watch other RU-vid video's I can never understand how and why farmers miss so much of the crop. There are a lot of wise words from the guy doing the voice over like @7.15 ' A man's got to stay active to stay in shape' & @13.00 'A man's gotta buy what he can afford' !
Must have dried pretty good, if you can bale behind the rake. I’ve never been able to do that, maybe if I let it lay a week. Bales looked a little loose when the young man picked them up. Also, does that rake run on ground drive pto or live power pto.
Depending on the thickness of the hay crop we go 2 or 3. Rounds. With the rake then turn around and go the other direction and roll the whole windrow over the other way making sure to roll the last round and windrow over all the way over to make it a nice tight windrow if you just roll them close together the windrow is not nice and tight thanks for watching and commenting
Thats the problem everyone wants to be lazy these days. We never thought twice about just throwing the bales on the wagon, made for a happy life, different times,I guess.
