In this video I have a look at a young ladies 92 Ram W150 that she bought used for waaayyyyyy to much money and the person that sold it to her took her for a ride. The under hood wiring harness is a huge mess and we have to see if we can straighten it out so she can use the truck.
-Enjoy!

That just doesn’t make sense and it certainly is not of a good character of being a good person! I think you better sit in a dark quiet place and reevaluate your thinking!! so it sounds to me like you probably never give to charities because you don’t know the people personally… Is that the case?

I have kept that promise but used the skills he taught me to work on my own vehicles (rebuild engines, build race motorcycles, etc) and help those that needed it or couldn't afford it. As tragic as it is do die in such an accident, it can be worse. I started a different job in 1999 and a mechanic at the plant had a pine fall in his back yard and wedge in another tree. He was trying to cut it down while his family went Christmas shopping. They came home and found him collapsed in the back yard with a limb lying nearby. This was on a Friday and by Monday he was able to move his left arm and that was it. His wife had to quit work to care for him, buy a specialized van for a wheelchair, etc. Our health insurance had million dollar limit at the time and they maxed that out in a couple of years. Fundraising was done but they nearly lost their house before he passed away about 4 years after the accident. He was in his early fifties I believe. I agree that Eric is a very good man and I enjoy his thorough explanations as he diagnoses.

Eric, ive been buying and fixing and selling and trading cars for many years now. And ive had my fair share of hack jobs. Ever since i found your channel a year ago, I've become very good at tracing circuits down and finding issues. Especially on GMT800 trucks. I use butt connectors and Super 33...have for years. Summit racing makes some of the best connectors ive ever found. Im not a professional when it comes to electrical, never will be. If someone has an issue with the way you fix something, they can hit the road. There is nothing wrong with the way you fix things. And ive learned so much from your videos. I can't thank you enough. And im sure that young lady's father is happy that you're fixing her truck and he's smiling down on you and her. I teared up a little bit hearing the story. Thank you for sharing. As for the truck, it looks pretty nice. I hate it that they hacked the wiring. Its really not that complicated to figure out. I have an 86 Dodge for a daily, an 86 project as well as two 89s, a shorty and a Ramcharger. I am sure you will figure it out, but be sure to check the connector under the hood for the rear harness. I had a 90 that had the fuel pump pin burn out inside that connector. I bypassed it and it ran great. I may have a factory 92 underhood harness if needed. - Jamie.

Eric O. Never be afraid to show your humanity. Respect to you and your Mrs. O for being good humans! Good job on sorting the Mopar wiring out. You're a better diagnostician than I'll ever be.

I’d love to see more videos of these older vehicles. More people are buying these because the newer ones are crap. Kudos to you guys helping the family out again.

Never, and I mean never, apologize or feel the need to explain why you are helping someone else in need. You do what you know is right. That's it. You have a good heart and you didn't need to spell it out, but it shows. Thank you, we need more people like you/us

Safety has to be No. 1 for every job. "What am I about to do, and what could possibly go wrong?" Something as simple as a hard hat might have saved your friend's life. After a mishap occurs there's always time to consider how it happened. Kudos to you for helping your friend's daughter.

You are a good man Eric. I have a tendency to tear up when I get into my feels. Thankfully there are some good people out there like yourself. Excellent video.

Eric, I lost a good friend in a similar accident 27 years ago, young family like mine at the time , you never get over it. You are so correct about life being unfair. You are a great man and friend to be so caring and thoughtful. Keep up the good work !

Sorry for you loss. Lost my dad 7 years this December. Think of him often. Remember the good memories you have with your mom.

Thank you for sharing the connection you and your family have with the young lady and her family. You are right, some things in life are unfair. Some things are very sad also. You and Vanessa are showing the good that humanity offers, and that friends help friends. Keep up the good you do Eric and Vanessa. And for what it is worth, I am much older than you and over the last ten years have cried more than I ever had in the over four decades prior. Crying is one of the many ways humans express emotions, there is nothing wrong with that! ❤ 💕

You and your wife are great people. Thank you for helping this young lady. As a side note I love my 1988 W150, 5.2L TBI, A/T, full power. I wished it looked as good as the one you're working on. Mine's a rust bucket with a 4 star interior. Mine must have been garaged by the original owner.
