We made an approximation of this for dinner tonight but had to make two substitutions: instead of the fermented shrimp paste, we used fish sauce, and our squash was a large zucchini from the garden. We loved it! It was great with homemade kimchi.

Rather than squash, my grandmother would send us grandkids out to pick young asparagus or crab apples from her garden :) Grandmas really have the best cooking

Maangchi, I made this dish tonight, and it was very delicious! I didn't have time to get Korean peppers, though, so I used a Serrano and a "sweet" Banana pepper that turned out to be hot not sweet 😂I love spicy food, so it was great.

I will make this tomorrow, I'll just use zucchini instead because I don't have that squash. Either way, I trust you Maangchi I'm sure it will be delicious! I've started learning how to cook with your recipes and now I really enjoy cooking (but I don't enjoy washing the dishes). There's so many recipe videos on RU-vid, but yours NEVER disappoint me! They're always great and delicious. Very easy to follow too. If there's a korean dish I want to make, I'll always check if you made a recipe first

This was so delicious! Just meal prepped it for lunches for the week. I made a few modifications: I don't eat seafood so I left out the saeujeot and subbed with Yondu Sepio Vegetable Essence (which came out great) and added Shimeji mushrooms! Thanks for the great recipe. This one is a keeper for me ☺️

This reminds me of summertime when mom didn't want to cook. Half a can of spam sliced up, cooked with garlic, onions, zucchini and cabbage. She'd cook it all in 1 pot then we'd eat it over rice. When I babysit my niece, that's what I make her after I work all day

That looks great! I made some beef and peppers with onions the other day, served with rice. There's something really great about some fresh meat and veg coming together into a simple but tasty dish. Though I did commit a grave sin and tried a piece of marinated raw beef after it had six hours to marinade and it was surprisingly incredible.
