Came across this looking for a similar problem and watched the whole thing. Your delivery is genuine, and you have good audio and video. This is quality content.
Thank you for making this video! I have a 19 XLT that squeaks something awful. I took it to the dealer at about 20k miles for this issue and they ended up giving me all new leaf springs. Fast forward about 12k miles and its doing it again. Just ordered some spacers off amazon and will be doing this fix on Friday. Thanks again!!
Thanks for making this video, you saved my ass. I was wondering why I couldn’t get between the leaf springs. I was lifting from the pumpkin and not the rear of the truck 🤦🏻♂️
Thanks for the tip! I'm actually going to try that just as a test to see if this is where my squeaking is coming from. I'll cut it off and replace the bushing later if so.
Nice video, though I would use jack stands instead of sitting on jacks. At this point, might as well remove the leaf springs and replace the bushings if necessary.
An easy fix I did years ago was to cut vinyl siding piece and slip them in there, lasted decades. just hammer a huge standard tip screwdriver in between the leafs then slip the siding piece in-between
I just noticed a squeaking noise that seems like it's coming from some part of my suspension, hopefully this is the issue since it seems like an easy fix.
Great job! I have a 14 f150 xtr. 160,000km. I’m getting loud squeaky noise when I put it into gear, and slowly creep out of the drive way. I wonder could it be bearings and control arms, or those insets you installed or both? I will go look at it right now..just check..my leaflet area is completely flat. The squeaks when I first start it, put my foot on the break, shift into drive..starts squeak then when I roll out of the driveway and turn I the squeaks..after it warms up..the squeaks kinda stops
