Not sure if this will help… 45 billion won is averagely abt US$ 37 million (US$ 37,598701.50 to be exact as of 12th oct 2021). There’s 9 x 0s in 45,000,000,000 Korean won. Maybe just divide whatever Korean Won amount by 1,200 just to get a rough average in US$?

Hey, I subscribed to your Patreon and the rewards are still locked. Does it take a while to go through? Btw, as a 2nd generation American whose parents fled from Communism. I noticed that people tend to think that the acting is over exaggerated ; but look at how things are "performed" in DPRK and PRC; a lot of compelled speech and compulsory behavior for the sake of survival. It would be worth discussing why, "Squid Game" is banned in China. .....and why people who've watched it end up "disappeared".

They want the viewers to think, to create their own ending. For example, when that guy left the plane at the end. We don’t know why he did it. Might be because he wants to go back in the game, might be because he wants to stop it or might be because he’s afraid they’ll kill him as they know what’s he doing. I'm pretty sure that there is zero connection between those hosting the games and the people the players are indebted to. So like Aaron was suggesting, the dude in the subway was just listing out things about his life, and making an important point that the main character was willing to sign away his physicals rights, so he'd be willing to put just about anything on the line to get out of debt. *Not* that he was there to collect on those physical rights. The game is in no way a form of debt collection.

However, in this reaction video we see him say that they can end the games if every player agrees. This is the "English[CC]" translation (a transcript of the dubbed version). For clarification, the guys are reacting to the show with the correct English subtitles on Netflix (non CC). The footage edited in the reaction is using the CC version because it was the only English subtitles that were included. They're clearly watching the "good" subs because they're talking about how Sang-Woo said 'a majority of contestant agree' when in the "bad" subs it's translated poorly as "All the players agree"

Have watched Squid Game more than once and used both, found CC English had simpler explanations of some terms, like in Episode 4 in that particular game at the end, in the English subs, the old man mentions the word _Ssireum_ which I had to look up means Korean Style Wrestler whereas the CC English just had the word _Wrestler._ There are other examples in CC English that flow better in terms of the way something is explained and is easier to read but _overall_ , English is better for sure. Wish Netflix would use some of the CC English in the official English subs.
