Hey Brendan. Good luck on your fight. Ever person needs to stand up for our own area. The corporates (most of them) don’t care about nature. We are fighting Adani in QLD now. They have polluted 10,000 hectares in their home country, they are trying to expand here on the Great Barrier Reef. I’m not against coal but we can’t eat or breath coal! Adani hasn’t even got final approval and already been fined for pollution before having approval to expand. They will also be given free water when our struggling farmers are foreclosing due to drought. Things will never become right until every man, woman and child stands up for our environment. This fight is happening all over the world.

Need to make a stand against this POLLUTION Plant, in our precious waterways. Western port isn't just the best waterway for squid breeding grounds, but it is also the generations to come, when it comes to fishing, as this waterway keeps the numbers up, since it is a top breeding ground for most species from squid, to Gummy sharks. Well said Mate!

This is so sad .. speaking from perth wa ... something similar is also happening to our local fishing waters known as cockburn sound ... they in the movement of putting a new shipping port to meet international freight in the new years .. it's sad how much they do not take consideration of how it effects our environment an the sea life .. The weedy sea dragons are an endangered species and only found around there to frankston. Also I think the squid will be a good food source for us locals in the future as they'll thrive in the warmer sea temps. Spread the message.

Think the worst thing about this is that Australia is the largest exporter of gas in the region, so why are we looking to import it? Someone is making a turn exporting it and then clipping the ticket again on the importation, and who pays? We do! This project makes no sense, just don’t export as much in the first place.

Who needs a study, no doubt that it will have a negative affect on our Western Port Bay 👎

This info from AGL's web site as of May 2021 “The decision to cease any further development of the Gas Import Jetty Project follows the Independent Advisory Committee (IAC) findings and the Victorian Planning Minister’s determination on 30 March 2021 that the project would have unacceptable environmental effects.”

Try talking to David Kramer from Talking Fishing he has contacts or friends in the state government and fisheries and a shit load of viewers you never know everyone may get behind it Save Western port. Tony

To see how true this is you all only have to look back at Burnie, Tasmania when we had tioxid it made our sea Blood Red no fish no life left in the water so bad Midnight Oil even had a song about it. Tioxid has gone now, the sea is blue the fish are everywhere, Melbourne don't let this happen to you over $$$$$$$$$$$

You are so right, Winga. Everyone who cares about our environment, our fishing, our lives needs to pound every politician with the seriousness of this travesty. Also make sure AGL know that we will punish them economically. Let your super annuation company know that if they invest in AGL you will change super to someone with a conscience. Money is the only language these peanuts understand so make sure they know there will be financial consequence for this sort of short-sighted, mercenary exploitation of our environment.

Brendon we need to unite around the country and become a political force. I am from Sydney and when the fisho united we were able to stop 25 unscientific lock out site simply because there were was no direct science which means the were not able to fulfil the 'null hypothesis"of scientific research. Simply put without direct science they have no base line to determine what damage is taking place. It is imperative that direct scientific data is available as a comparison. From our battle with lockouts we have have a massive passenger terminal they want to build around Mollineaux point the premier fishing location in Botany Bay. This place holds enormous amounts of bait and every main Sydney species, Kingfish, Mulloway, Big Aussie Salmon, pelagics, trevally etc... If we can create an Australia wide movement that genuinely will threaten political seats then we are in the game, if not we are small fish that they will pick off, it is imperative we become nation wide to show the numbers they are up against. Good luck with the battle we will help in any way we can because you made Western Port a bucket list destination for me.

I didn't think the bay had completely recovered yet from when the scallop boats were banned, and now a bunch of parasites want to come and re-destroy it. I love to jump into my sharkcat and scream out there to catch a feed of squid. I don't get to do it enough at the moment, but 18 months from now I hope to be able to do it weekly, and it sounds like, by then, it may be too late. Also, is this all so someone can sell our natural gas for 2 cents per liquid litre to china, so they can use it to make 3rd rate products from our iron ore and bauxite to sell back to us, to build profits to assist them to take over the world? Or am I missing the part where I suffer, but get something in return?

You're drawing the longest bow here buddy. Don't blame a company that wants to secure its customers gas needs, blame a government that has BANNED all gas exploration onshore for the past 3 years. New exploration can not start until 2021, and only for conventional gas. So the Daniel Andrews Labor government caused this, otherwise AGL would have no need to build this thing. This is only needed because of the idiots you probably voted in. So in effect you have likely caused this terminal to be built. The customers that use that gas right near where you filmed this are making glass, cardboard packaging, and other Victorian made products. So be thankful that we at least have one iota of the manufacturing industry still left in this country.
