@kryptonos rand Au contraire! It is you, and not I who is wrong. You-personally-may say, "That's him." But you would be grammatically incorrect. The nominative case pronouns: I, he, she, we, they are always used with the infinitive or verb “to be.” To be grammatically correct one would say, “It’s I” and not “It’s me.” If one wants to speak in the vernacular, one may say “it’s me” and “that’s him!” I know it sounds awkward to say, “That’s he!” And nine out of ten English speakers, regardless of his or her level of education, would use the accusative case pronoun “him.” But to use proper English, the correct grammar is to use the nominative case pronoun "he" as in “that’s he!” If you don’t believe me, ask an independent third party trained in English grammar. In closing, I believe Sarah would agree with yours truly. Her first language, after all, is English. Sarah was speaking in the vernacular, by the way, when she said “That’s me in a nutshell.” That is, she was speaking in “the everyday language spoken by a people as distinguished from the literary language.” By the way, I personally would never say: “That’s him.” I would always say “That’s he” to be grammatically correct. 👍 😉 Incidentally, you would be surprised how many native English speakers misuse the subjunctive mood and indicative mood when speaking English. 🧐 Now as Sarah would say, “Have great day…bye!” And I do wish you well. 😊

@@christophertsiliacos8958 As you said, she was speaking/writing in "the everyday language spoken by people". Therefore, there is no reason to correct her because in today's English what she wrote is absolutely correct. What is correct in and what is wrong in a language is not determined by a prescriptivist grammar book, but by the speakers. It is very probable that at some point in the future, "me" will be the only first person singular pronoun in English (as has happened e.g. in Tok Pisin).

Ouch! That all holes open note hurts my ears! But I'll get used to it. If I listen and do it often enough, the note and I will become friends. The bit where you were first playing both recorders at once sounds positively medieval, not to mention modal! There are historically flutes which were played at the same time from that time period, and they weren't afraid to play parallel fourths fifths, and even seconds (called organum... minds out of the gutter everyone, it's an "n" not an "s"), but I'm not telling you anything you don't already know. I just can't help myself being an retired music historian.

The things you learn once you become a recorder player. I still have no idea what exactly Squid Game is, but now I know how to play music from it. (plays the soprano bit on the garklein) (neighbour's cats joining in)

Since the first time I listened to the Squid game's music, I realized how good the recorder player was. The mixing of dirty and so clear notes, their phrasing, the beautiful ties and staccati. What do you think about it?

@@caseygreyson4178 I'm not interested in a show about desperate people playing life or death games for the amusement of others. I don't mind that other people like it, people like what they like, but if I want to relax and enjoy some entertainment and escape, that's not my thing. I'd rather watch nature documentaries, my favorite RU-vid channels (which include Team Recorder and TwoSet Violin) or something like Avatar the Last Airbender.
