My god. I can't believe someone actually found this, holy shit. This was my entire fucking childhood. My favourite episode had to be one of the blu squiddle episodes, when he had continually bumped into the ice cream yeti, I remember how no one would believe him because they believed the idea was too far fetched. It wasn't until grandpa squiddles shared his knowledge on the subject that they began to believe, and also when the blue one stopped being afraid.

This was literally my favourite show as a kid. They cancelled it in Australia though. It's happy to see how Hussie interpreted it into Homestuck, especially with all the references to the pilot episode!

My favorite episode had to be the one where they broke the fourth wall and ended up coming out of the TV, man that scared me as a kid. I miss this show, too bad the studio burned down. :(

One of the most tragic pieces of lost media. No one cares to upload much of it online and all the master tapes were ruined after that meteor struck the studio and everything caught fire.

Heck, this brings me WAY back. My mom owned the vhs tapes for this show, and let me tell you, it was my CHILDHOOD. Im sad it was canceled, but it was fun while it lasted!

Man, the memories. If you think finding the lost Doctor Who episodes are hard, try finding episodes of Squiddles! I don't know why the producers never made more copies before the fire, but I guess some things are just meant to be. At least we still have the one surviving soundtrack.

Remember that episode when the squiddles at Squiddle School went on a field trip to another part of the ocean where they met the squaddles at Squaddle School? holy shit that scene where the purple polka dotted squaddle fell into that hole and the blue squaddle (i cant remember his name omfg) had to help him? i remember that scene SUPER clearly and ugh memories :')

Man I loved this show! I had all the toys. Even Our Destroyer Cuthulu. He was the odd one out.

Just binge-watched the entire show in one go again. A must watch for everyone.

Man, the villain of this show was creepy! You guys remember, right? Skipper Plumbthroat, right? I know he was just supposed to be a crusty old fisherman but he was pretty dang scary, to the point that I wonder how the heck they thought he'd work in a kids' show! Like, in this one episode (I can't remember which one) these two Squiddles were swimming around and trying to hide from his boat, and they could hear him doing that awful laugh (I think it went, "har har hee hee ho ho"?). And when it looked like they finally got away, his hook GRABBED one of them and he shouted "You cannot outswim me, little squiddles! Because where ever you go, I am *already there!*" (shiver) That freaked me out!

Holy shit I forgot about these guys! I remember I had to sit through these with my little sister, we had a ton of VHS tapes. Remember the episode where they all became super hero squiddles? Like how the orange one got tiger markings and could swim really fast? The orange squiddle was always my favorite.

I heard rumors that the series was being rebooted on The Hub in 2010, but it never was made to hapen. Something about the content not being "appropriate for the target audience" or some shit like that. I also heard that some sunlight reflected off of Venus into some swamp gas, blowing the studio to hell. Damn, this show has some bad luck.

Man... The only way to make this show any better would be Nicholas Cage as a guest-star squiddle.

Holy fuck this is so nostalgic! My dad used to own hundreds, and i mean HUNDREDS of these things. I remember watching and loving this show so much as a kid that for the first 7 birthdays i always got 3-6 new squiddles each year as a present! Gog, i think i still own them. Guys. Guyyyyyyyyyyyys. I asked my mom if she remembered this show after I found this and if she had any idea what happened to it, like...I realize the studio burned and the masters are gone because it's from before computer animation was common, but why didn't they outsource animation to help fund rebuilding? And apparently they tried to, but shortly after the fire this rumor started spreading that the show's creator was involved in Satanism and there was this whole episode on NPR about it. This was back when pretty much everything was a huge moral panic (OH NO ANIME, OH NO POKEMON, OH NO BACKMASKING . . . uggh 90s), so if you threw enough shit, some of it would stick. Anyway, they couldn't find a studio to outsource to. Nickelodeon actually came pretty close to buying it and then at the last minute backed out for no apparent reason. The weird part is, I still have some shitty VHS tapes we recorded off Saturday morning cartoons. Or at least, I thought I did. Here's the thing, Squiddles was the middle of the Saturday morning block, and I watched both shows on either side of it. I watched three Saturdays' worth in a row and . . . the preceding show's credits run, the tape clicks (my mom used to cut the commercials out for me because she's a boss) . . . and then Squiddles should run, but all I've got is a test pattern and some static. It picks back up just fine about halfway through the theme for the next show. This is some of the creepiest shit ever. Some of the others have random snippets from other cartoons popping up so there's just little bits of Squiddles surrounded by what's practically a RU-vid Poop, but a lot of the shows that are popping up WERE OFF THE AIR YEARS BEFORE SQUIDDLES CAME ON. Please tell me I'm not the only one, this is kind of scaring me.

oh my god candy corn shrimp were my fav! especially when they brought the candy line out. i found the first season on vhs out in my garage, had a field day rewatching it. the memories were intense. but candy corn shrimp guy (i think his name was cameron the candy corn shrimp or something) was my fav!

Omg so much nostalgia! I used to catch this in the mornings before school. Ah man now I'm craving the Squiddles cereal, it was the best super fruity, and sometimes you'd get a piece with two squiddles intertwined.

I can't believe what has happened to this show! Ever since it ended, kids television just hasn't been the same. I would do anything to get this back on the air and get today's children watching it. Maybe someday I'll find some of my favourite episodes and show them to my kids. Stay strong fandom, we can get through this! Squiddles forever!

I loved watching this show as a kid and so did my brother and two sisters. So maybe my fellow Squiddle lovers can probably imagine how upset I got when I saw some stupid kids on the internet trash talking Squiddles. Going on and on about how the show 'isn't real' or some stupid shit like that. They were saying that they couldn't find any of the episodes so the show wasn't real! And I tried explaining to them that the reason there are no full episodes online is because this show was made long before shit was stored digitally. And after the fire at the studio the originals got burned up. So of course they are hard to come by. But you can't just brush off an entire show and the thousands of people who watched it just because you weren't around when it was made! UGH! That just really grinds me gears man. You guys don't even know. I hope some of the shows those kids like get wiped out when they grow up. So then maybe the asshole kids of THEIR generation will tell them that their beloved childhood tv show ISN'T REAL. Maybe then they'll understand~

OHHH this brings back all the memories. I only got into this show in the last year it ran, but I loved it as much as I did "Stanley". I remember crying when Mom told me the studio had burned down and there wouldn't be any more Squiddles. I watched the cassettes over and over again, but sadly the tapes warped when we moved during an August heat wave. I even had the Squiddles TV Movie! Remember that one? In retrospect, the show was really quite dark for a kids' show, a lot like Finding Nemo in that regard. But I still wish I could find more episodes online. :,(

I'm so happy someone finally found it! Been searching forever for this gem of a show. I remember that one episode where they went on the adventure and got lost and ran into a shark. Green squiggles was so scared and purple squiggles found the place they were supposed to be. I remember that everytime I get lost. "Always be Purple Squiggles" Ahhh memories..

Oh my god I just got hit with a tidal wave of nostalgia!!! I remember watching this show when I was just a toddler! My eldest sister had all the VHSs and even the tv movie on tape! But she only let me watch them occasionally because she told me that they didn't make the tapes anymore. She didn't want them getting messed up and kept them boxed up in her closet. But it's been years since I've seen any of the episodes because of the copyright laws. But man seeing the opening song really takes me back. I was really sad to hear about the studio fire that wiped out the original copies and even killed the creator. That was some heavy shit to find out. My sister told me about that tragedy when I asked her why finding Squiddles tapes was so impossible. She said that unless you had tapes from before the fire then it was practically impossible to find them. Which is messed up, but what can you do? And I was even more upset to hear that my idiot sister put her copies (as well as her recorded tapes of Candle Cove) of Squiddles in a storage unit. She never pays her bills on time and I knew the storage building was no exception. And wouldn't you know it, she forgot to pay her storage bill!!! So the damn storage unit people got to keep everything in the unit!!!! You know those bastards made a killing off selling those VHS tapes!!!!! What with them being rare as all hell. Not to mention that Candle Cove didn't even sell copies of the episodes since it was only on air for a little over a year! We just recorded them off tv with our VHS player. That was the only reason we even had them. But oh well, they're gone now~ What a shame. :(

Oh, how I miss the Squiddles. One of my favorite shows growing up as a kid. I still have one of the posters when they were still selling them. One of my friends, Jade, enjoys it as much as I do. She and I would go shopping and find merchandise when it was still in stores. Such a shame that the sudio burnt down. Sadly, I lost all my VHS tapes for the Squiddles when I moved houses. It was such a shame. But, I still have memories and my Squiddle merchandise.

the movie was so amazing. I remember going in premier day (select theaters in Canada and some states) where *SPOILERS!* Red Squishy died. Never forget :(
