@@podomuss I mean, I think clinging to genre purity of any sort is kinda bullcrap, and I don't really bother narrowing bands down to hyperspecific microlabels. I just used 'esque' because Green Day's sound vaguely reminds me of other bands that are widely considered punk and to include similar genres with nasally 'untrained-sounding' vocals.
@@podomuss Amazing how you read my response and thought I'd somehow give a damn. And honestly regardless of what Green Day is, I think it's weird to insist that punk values *must* remain unpopular to be punk. Feels counterintuitive to the purpose of counterculture movements. And if you are to say punk is about being unpopular and not actually about any core ideas, then punk means nothing and I don't get your obsession with conforming to it.
I remember when my wife and I used to listen to Squidward Tentacles on the radio back then. He was her favorite artist, so now I come back here every once in a while to reminisce of our favorite tracks. She left too soon 💔
I remember the funeral. It was so sad because she came back as a bald ghost. Remember feeding her fruit and slaving away for her every desire? We wanted to make her happy one final time before we put her to rest, by blowing a giant bubble around the poor soul to properly send her off into the paradise above. RIP 🙏
It felt like yesterday when I saw the collaboration between Squidward, SpongeBob and Patrick singing my way, it changed my life forever, may your wife rest in peace.
I cannot describe the pure glee that welled up inside me within the first few words. "That's Life" was by far the best. It really sounded like him singing -- the others sounded good but that's life sounded like his soul was in it.
I imagine this as the true happy ending of Spongebob where Squidward finally makes it as a big star musician as all of bikini bottom watches him singing up on the stage with Spongebob saying with a tear in his eye. "I always believed in you, Squidward".
I like how you can hear the accent of the original singer bleed through the ai voice, idk how this is generated but it’s clear it uses the original vocal track as a guide and it’s not just pure pitch shifting.
That's Life and My Way really do represent the era of Squidward's singing career where he realized he should just stop listening to what others say, turn off auto-tune, and use his real voice! A true hero and era.
so after a bit of collecting, i compiled some of squidwards works, so people can explore more about one of the best artists of our generation! 1999 - "Big Nose, Bigger Heart" (the first one of the squidward's albums, it was made in his early years and was mainly done because squidward wanted to try something else before the clarinet, it wasnt famous at the time, but it still remains as one of squidward's best albums and is highly regarded as almost peak, ranked 2 by fans) 2004 - "A Life I Never Had" (squidward returned to a singing career after dropping the clarinet, the album is mostly about depressed songs, when asked why squidward said he felt sad at the time for failing to do his favorite instrument, but he got over it rather quickly, and decided to return to his origins, aside from that, he and fans alike think of the album as just a plus, something included as a extra if you buy any other album, no one seems to like it much, but there are fans who say its good enough to be mid turn, ranked 7 by fans and squidward alike) 2007 - "Happiness Is Made, Not Found" (squidward was getting very experimental at the time, however, one song stood out in this album. "my way" is ranked as one of squidward's best song ever, by old and new fans alike, many people make covers and remixes of it to this day, and almost every one of those posts get thousands upon millions of views, even big artists made covers of it, a song so good, it made fishers at the time discover about the sentient sea creatures in the bottom of the ocean, if it wasnt for squidward and his music, we might have never known about the bottom of the sea and its inhabitants, ranked 1 by fans) 2011 - "Joyfull Creations" (squidward was at his peak age at the time, he made song after song, breaking the barrier between music and art alike, but the album was composed of mostly less viewd musics from squidward, when asked about it, squidward said that he wanted to keep the good music for another album, and sure, the songs should just stay singles, but he felt it would be a waste of time to create multiple singles just because some musics are different from eachother, ranked 5 by fans) 2015 - "Money Of Platinum" (at the time, squidward wanted to experiment, so he made 15 different covers, and asked 15 different releasers to, you know, release them, some people did not like the idea, and others tought it was stupid, but squidward made a ARG of sorts, hidded in each of the covers, was a single number. if you picked every number by the alphabetical order of releasers, you could call squidward himself, and maybe get a chance to appear in one of his songs, only 2 people where able to be in a song however, squidward did not want people to ruin their life style, so he aways calls them "purple star" and "yellow pants". the musics in the album are quite plain, squidward himself said that he kind of rushed the album and just wanted to make the ARG as quick as possible, but fans still like the weird style it has, ranked 6 by fans) 2017 - "Friends Along The Way" (as stated before, squidward did a ARG, and the two lucky few were chosen to be in one of his songs, wich was a cover! "my way" was the chosen song for the cover, and people loved it. some say its better than the original, but most just say that the original had more life and character to it. when asked of how was to work with hardcore fans, squidward said the following: "it was hard, to be honest, yellow has a squeaky voice, close to being irritating, and purple seemed kind of...trouble minded. but aside from that, working with them was...fun, they aways seem fired up, like they are ready for life and its issues, but never loosing hope, even when i got infuriated, they stood their ground, and i can just respect that.", the other songs in the album touched more deep into the 'i love my fans' side of things, ranked 4 by fans) 2020 - "A Farewell To Goodbye" (squidward wanted to stop releasing songs, he was tired most of the time, and all that burning love for music was dying, so as a last ditch effort, he wanted to make something new, this album is the most crazy out of all of the albums, like every song was made while he was drunk or high, but it was a success! its because of this album that he still makes songs to this day, ranked 3 by fans) and thats it for my dive into the world of squidward, i really hope he continues after "The Hits Vol. 1", but looking back, i think he might retire soon. he is becoming old, and in his last online post, he said he was running out of ideas, so before he releases Vol. 2, i wanted to make something so new and old people can enjoy my favorite artists this was Tax Collector, and thank you for reading my small history lesson about this charming squid i love so much
The fact that the show itself haven’t made anything this entertaining in years is a big oof. So much respect to Stephen Hillenberg, and the team that created the original series
@@mrramdom925Oh, cmon people, you’re confusing his 14th fake death with his 24th, don’t you know we are not sure he died yet, he just keeps coming, he always keeps coming back, please let him be dead this time, because this is too much…
Because it’s new trend and lots of people are still unfamiliar/uncomfortable with the AI deepfake technology. But it’s picking up steam for the past months as more and more learn the process making which I suspect we will see soon a lot more interesting parody and covers by the end of this year…

Bro dropped the clarinet and picked up a mic. Let this be a lesson to us all. Just because you think this is tour calling doesnt necessarily mean it is. Let your calling flow like the beautiful words of Mr. Tentacles. Lol God bless to all of you. ✌️
You don’t know how much this means to me, to be able to hear my favourite singer again after so many years trying to find a trace of his albums. Finally, I can rest and listen to his masterpieces knowing that someone out there also knows of him too.
Squidward's voice absolutely kicking the bucket halfway through The Sound of Silence is the funniest thing ever to me, and is totally the type of thing to happen to squidward during some big audition of his. I can't stop laughing, its so raw emotional and too good.
Squidward has the most beautiful singing voice. It brings a tear to my eye to hear him express himself and let out his true emotion. You can really feel his pain and sadness, but most movingly, his passion. His deep, burning passion that he keeps guarded and hidden in his every day life, scared of the pain and rejection he so often faces from most sea dwelling folk he encounters. He's sensitive. An artist. A bright, beautiful light in a sea of dull, dead eyed fish who are too blind to see his talent and beauty. I'm so, so happy and relieved to see he found the courage to publish this. It brings me peace to see he's not letting the nay sayers get to him. You can't extinguish the flame that is Squidward.
genuinely never realized how nice squidward could ACTUALLY sound as a singer until this. Real missed opportunity for the show now that i think about it.
I remember listening to Squidward Tentacles all the time growing up. I remember one time, my friend was in hospital and on the drive there I heard the beautiful sound of Squidward singing 'Just the Two of Us'. I cried!!!!!
Squidward singing 'That's life' really fits him well. Especially when he sings "Some people get their kicks stomping on a dream". It really does highlight the many times Spongebob has actively sabotaged the things that he enjoyed, just for his own amusement.
The sound of silence is squids reaction once spongebob actually moves on from Bikini Bottom. Realize it or not, they both need each other. Squid has been a better friend than Patrick has ever been.
I'm glad to see that Squidward Tentacles finally found his musical Talent, it just didn't involve the clarinet. The whole entire time, he was a singer not a musical instrument performer. I really do like this album. It's both entertaining and hilarious.
i remember having squidy on a podcast once and he told us how he gave up the clarinet and became a cover artist he had actually sung virtual insanity on the spot and went to go make that after the podcast. so sad he didn't put it in his first album
DOWNLOAD these AI covers while you still can, we never know when copyright holders take em down. Lots of AI covers I frequently listen to have already been removed.
Sound of Silence was very moving and emotion and My Way never fails to make me contemplate on life. I'm currently going through a rough moment so listening to those songs lifts my spirits ❤🩹♥
Been listening to this AI covers for hours, and I can pretty much say squidward has the best voice, he should drop that clarinet and start picking up that microphone.
