This is such a versatile guitar. I never used to like the bridge pickup on a strat for rock and lead but these Duncan Designed pickups have a nice edge that suits this style of playing.
Had a drum loop going in Cubase. Using the Zoom G5. I just hit record and made up some riffs on the spot.

Sounds good...nice playing! Do you use your G5 with the blackstar amp? I have the G3 plugged into my ID core 100...it sounds poor compared to the amp with its built in effects. How is yours? Thanks.

Cheers. Nah, I use my Blackstar amp alone. Love the amp. I only use the Zoom G5 into Cubase for recording.

How to play like you? It seems like you improvised that. That is masterful. So how did you do it? Would you recommend the Vintage V6JV or the Cort G280?

I've been playing a long time so I really should be a lot better. Thanks for the compliment. Yes, I just improvised here. Fell back on a few old licks. Not too sure about Cort but from what I've heard, the Vintage guitars are very good. Never played one though. Thanks for watching.

Great playing. I don’t know what it is. Perhaps the pickups.. the squire deluxe somehow seems lacking in tone to me. Maybe wood ?But I’m not really a tonewood guy. Not just your video... most sounds like there is something missing in the strat tone...

You are not the only one to say this. It is pickups which are thought to be "modern". The Tex-Mex pickups are what most people associate with a classic strat tone.
