In case you didn't know this game is really in depth there's an entire community that breaks it down it's interesting because those voices you hear when you're sleeping are actually the devs talking to previous players questions and the devs can communicate to your character in game and do some pretty crazy s*** more entities with potential curses and benefits per the lore the devs are the dark gods in the game there's even the possibility of gaining blessings from the "gods"
