There’s a channel called choo choo’s story where she feeds chipmunks and she’ll leave a pot of loose dirt for them to take “dirt baths.” They crawl through the dirt. It must be good for their coats or something.

That's how some animals "bathe", yeah. The dirt sifts through their fur and helps dislodge loose hairs, dead skin cells, and excess oils. Look for videos of chinchillas taking dust baths sometime. 🙂

Squirrel too love dust baths. We introduce obe to the last one we were rehabiliing since he was going against my indoor plants. He didn't want to use it in front of use but loves it when leaf alone. It was lovely to watch.

Maybe Bee's being protective cuz of her injury? Huge bald patch with injured skin. I rewound a few times to try & see clearly. ❤ Big hugs & kisses for her healing. It must be so frustrating/sad to see them injured, but can't help. I'm so sorry. She's really special-hopefully she'll be better soon.🤗🐾👍🏽 ❤

I'm assuming you are renting a ground floor apartment. If you were ever to move, not just the squirrels would be confused but so would the new tenant seeing a bunch of squirrels coming up to the window.

I am in the same situation and often think the same thing. Some of my squirrels are so brazen, they will walk right into my living room and go looking for food if I leave my patio door open. Some will eat inside. I've had squirrel fights break out inside when more than one comes in. They also climb the screen door to get my attention if there's no food out there. Whoever lives here after me is gonna be wondering why all the local squirrels are trying to break in! 😂

I didn’t know you also had chipmunks, how cute!Two days ago I noticed a new girl in my small squirrel colony, and I was absolutely delighted. I love chipmunks. It would be really cool if they were coming to the window. The wild ones around where I live you don't see often and usually it's brief glimpses at a far distance. They are shy and extremely skittish.

I made that at least a dozen squirrels, if not more all at once - & all of them seemed unusually feisty! Your reputation amongst the local fluff-tails really must have reached legendary status 😂 Was this video taken during a particularly busy rush, or were you seeing those kinds of numbers all day? Poor Bee, having so many others trying to force her off the windowsill… at least she’s big & brave enough to stand her ground & got to fill up on treats this time. Lovely to see the little chipmunks haven’t forgotten you while they’ve been hibernating. They’re so small compared to the squirrels though!
