So I brought some trail mix with nuts and dates and seeds to munch on in the park and I dropped a few in spots around the picnic table I was sitting at. It didn't take long for the squirrel to catch the smell and investigate. Once the squirrel found one of the big dates, the gopher arrives on the scene and moves in quickly! Its funny to see how important the dates become. Once the squirrel finishes off a date, the gopher moves in to grab one as well. With one small date left in between the two, gopher drops down to grab it and squirrel squares up for battle! Or is it just a love tap? You can't make this stuff up, a violinist in the background playing for a wedding on the Trafalgar Lookout provides the atmosphere for this date and dance between two entertaining little creatures.
