Just found your channel, that bridge/platform is awesome.. I started doing home haunts 3 years ago, ty for sharing.. I'm always trying to get new ideas to make the following year better..
This is great. I am gonna buy new fence boards and replace some of the old ones on my fence then use the old ones for this. New fence and cool prop. Two wins.
Looks like a really simple bridge to make I'm going to bring it up to my haunted house people and see if we can put it in somewhere awesome for the video Thank you
Great job! I'm curious how this worked in reality with visitors. #1 Did anyone seem to trip or stumble? was wondering if you'd add railings of some kind. #2 Did kids stand on it and try to "trampoline" on it , did that cause issues? #3 i see a lot of groups of 3-4 people walking through my haunt together. does the weight of multiple people on it at once negate some of the squishy effects? thanks! just curious of any observations or lessons learned after having real trick or treaters on it.
Actually none of those things were an issue. We run an actual pro haunt now and I have 2 of these in my swamp area. We allow groups up to 6 at a time. Everyone gets a huge kick out of it. I totally recommend the swamp laser kit to complete the effect.
Can you explain your rope pattern? I've seen on other versions of this where the rope passes over the board, goes down into the hole and then back up through the next board's hole (as opposed to up between the boards and back down into the hole). Are you using that to also make the rope a spacer between the boards?
True story: When I first started building my home haunt I tried using wooden pallets for lumber. I thought it would be cost efficient. IT WAS NOT! LOL Have you ever tried to take a pallet apart? Its tough. It wasnt worth the time or the physical effort. Your case may be different. Although, from my experience, NO. Guess it depends how well they are put together. LOL
@@chillfactorhaunt just grab an electric saw zaw and go to town! took me a few hours to break down a couple pallets for my bridge I'm making for my pirates of the Caribbean haunt this year!
