So a few questions: 1) for web sRGB, and for print adobeRGB? 2) Is it better to assign a color space on your camera? Which one will be the best option? 3) is it better to edit the pic using adobeRGB color space (or even prophoto) and then export in sRGB for web? Thanks !

1) The 'Generic CMYK' that is used for most printers cannot reproduce greens nearly as saturated as sRGB, let alone AdobeRGB. Stay with sRGB for simplicity. 2) preferably shoot in RAW which does not 'have' a color space and allows you to choose sRGB or AdobeRGB when you're editing. 3) In theory you'll have slightly more space to work with in the saturated greens which will then get compressed down to the sRGB limit when exporting for web. But in practicality staying with sRGB throughout you're entire workflow will prevent any incorrect cross conversions. I'd only recommend working in ProPhoto if you're display can handle a wider than sRGB gamut such as the P3 iMac (which I use) or an AdobeRGB capable Eizo monitor. Otherwise, you won't be able to see what's beyond the sRGB gamut anyway and will only be guessing what the output looks like. Hope this helps. Remember, every professional program you've seen on TV has been presented in Rec.709 (the TV equivalent of sRGB), so if someone says that sRGB colors suck they're absolutely fooling themselves :)

Christopher Dobey Pretty interesting man. I guess working with sRGB all the way through is the way to go, unless you have a very specific requirement. Thanks for your advice!
