@@abhidev4048 its also so developed internally too 😂 compared to others in saarc. Bcz it heavily invested on healthcare and education a decade ago and later invested heavily on infrastructure as a plus point to attract tourists.(internally means educated people .not gvmnt )

Port city is a Chinese investment but not a Chinese land. Investors from any country can come here and start business in Sri Lanka. Many Indian investors are also here.

Thats wrong information. Port city is not under china. Its a chinese investment project. There are a lot of indian investment project in SL also.

@@srinivasrao369 This is totally wrong; as a Sri Lankan from Colombo, we all know Port City 100% is Sri Lankan land. Sri Lanka leased Hambantota port to China. That is a different port in the South.

Brother , Portcity is not Chinese land. Land is 100% owned by Sri Lanka. It was a Chinese investment to build another Dubai here. So part of the portcity land is rented to China on 99%. Still ownership is belong to Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan buddhist are worship Hindu gods as well, that's why you saw load Ganesh statue inside a Buddhist temple. We got our culture , religion , language from India when king Ashok ruled the India. Not only that thousands of Indian roral families and other peopple came to Sri Lanka and mxed with locals, so we have blood relationships with Indians 🇱🇰 ❤ 🇮🇳

hambanthota port also leased not because of any chinease debt, it was leased because then yahapalana govt needed dollars after plunging the country in to a bop crisis just like what happened after corona.

you are so wrong about sri lanka port city , its still under control of sri lanka ,but a chinese company CHEC is going to make this a special economic zone, that tax laws work differcent than normal colombo , thats all this is not sold to china , whats wrong with your people?.8:20 what you people expect from telling loan loan again and again , what I see is you guys are jealous of development of other neighbours , do everything to downgrade them , so ugly behaviour

This project started in 2014 and you are right CHEC is working on this project which is Chinese company. Everything was going well till 2020 but after recession in srilanka. Srilanka was not able to pay for development of this project and due to this project srilanka also got into debt. So now there was two options for srilanka one was to pay which was not possible for srilanka and other was to give land unofficially to China to continue the project. So now Chinese company is working on srilankan land with full of power and control. Obviously srilanka has control but behind the picture something else. One more thing I am saying everything that I talked to locals and workers. We are not jealous to anyone we are growing economy and we have many things to support our neighbours not to downgrade. We supported srilanka during recession and didn't take any benefit of bad times like China.

The land is under port city commision which operates under colombo municipality. And it is not a loan but foreign direct investment, understand the differenc. It's not true what you said around from @7:04. That's not china and it's an joint investment done by the China with Sri Lankan government to create a special economic zone. You don't have to get a visa to visit this place. I think you've got mislead by some crap on the net. In fact, some Indian companies also starting to setting up there businesses in this Port city.

Stop spreading lies man, sri lanka didnt sell land to china because of any debt, the area u showed is the port city it is a chinese investment not something created using any debt. For that investment small portion of the new land created has been leased to the company thats all.

Frankly saying... Utna maza nahi aaya Shubham Bhai... Sab kuch normal hai. Nothing special. Wahi temples, kuch beaches, local markets, local food and some scuba options. Yehi sab karna hai to itna kharcha karke Srilanka jaane ka koi matlab nahi banta. I think you will also agree with me.
