The Sri Lankan Way! Great people. Always something to learn here. Notice even the elderly have excellent rhythm when preparing meals. Real Sri Lankan style. God Bless Sri Lanka
Just imagine how strong a Sri Lankan house wife would be after doing all those work at their home. They literally make everything they need at their own house.
Great experience for sure you got to get "your hands dirty" cooking and your feet dirty walking....imagine the hours they spend preparing meals for their families from scratch every day....those men and women are very strong in so many ways...hard living compared to the ease of a kitchen we have at home...viv
Its not hard to us as a srilankan peoples.because completely day working time exercise and many more results available to the body.anyway thank you for your comment.
As a sri lankan I can clarify that the part in the beginning with the milling process of flour is quite rare, even in rural villages. Things like flour is bought from the stores, pre packaged . I think this was more for an "authentic village" experience.
This was my life when i was growing up in Sri Lanka. It's honest, humble, and people will take care of you. They dont have much to share but they will share preety much everything they have with others. What you showed is that honest experience Johnny. Glad you showed the world what authentic village life is like!
I really like the way you experience the local culture by living among the villagers. It is those memories you will carry home. Your partner is really an asset enjoying just like a local girl. Thank you to both of you.
Johnny your kindness to the dog in carrying him across the gushing water is very touching. He was happy to let you carry him. You and Kristina make the best out of any experience. What an exciting village adventure too ! Wonderful video again.
I have seen videos of many RU-vid vloggers about Sri Lanka and you jonny impressed the most. Just you are so down to earth and not hesitating to go to rural villages and experience the things even we haven’t experienced as Sri Lankans. I feel sad and ashamed sometimes because even I haven’t traveled much around my country. Some places are so astonishing even i get surprised. Thank to you and christina for doing this. Mind you chirstina is much better at catching the local words and phrases.
Hey jony .. im a srilankan who lives in italy, and im sharing ur videos with our naibours here, and showing how beautifull our country, thanks to you.. keep it up good work bro.. i wish good health to u and sweet christina 😍😘💐💐
Definitely it wasnt an artificial village tour. Truly a great experience for you. "Hari Hari" in Sinhalese means "OK OK", Jhony took it as "Hurry Hurry" , despite the differences of meanings, it was sufficient to get away from leeches. Mee mal (Mee = Madhuca/Mahua , Mal = flower), Madhuca seeds were used for getting oil for cooking, lighting lamps etc in past. By that time it was a severe offense if someone cuts a Madhuca tree and it is said it was subjected to death penalty . Gradually people turned in to using coconut for getting oil and use of Madhuca is now not so common. They were also discussing, tourists like to you should be allowed to stay here as COVID situation is severe in other countries.
Absolutely, Johnny FD and Kristina are Sri Lankan . We should all be able to adopt nationalism as we please and don't let nationalism be hijacked by narrow minded people.
Johnny and Kristina another masterpiece. Better than 10 hours of nature programs- escapism at its best. So random to see two ponies. I am sorry about the leeches. Great way you flick them off , Johnny.
Appreciate your effort man. Sri Lanka life style is strongly attached with nature. All these traditional cooking methods are doing so cleanly and that are very healthy than modern day foods. Keep it up dude ✌️
Just amazing account.....you are so lucky to have stranded there...you two are glowing...look amazing with that blazing sun! Kristina is just the sweetest and the most humble lady. What an experience...and just after all this, a Pizza hut ad blazed at me...Hit me even harder with home sickness!
My good frend now iam in uae but i sow your enjoying life with my srilankans .so i wish you all the very best .and properly of your life even bright future
This is the natural rural life of sri lanka. Most of villagers prepare food without the use of electrical appliance and all services in the agricultural society were done by hand. Therefore they do not need extra exercise. The food prepared in this way is high in nutritional value. Tasty and nutritious these foods are perfect for boosting our immune system .Most srilankan (except urban) do not add any excessive flavorings and chemicals to their food .They always used only natural spices and fresh vegetables and fruits .Instead plates they often used banana leaves and lotus leaves for food. Thank you JOHNNY for showing the wonders of srilanka to the world.
It's real wonderful village life... We are also enjoyed with you.... Host also got our appriviation for thier kind hospitality..... Thanks a lots...❤️❤️❤️

Johnny with all the turmoil in the world, this past video was so beautiful to watch. It gave me a sense of peacefulness and tranquility which inhabits our world. It reminded me of all my past travels in the hills of Jamaica. 🌴🌿🌞

Mirian, believe you are not Sri Lankan. That's typical Sri Lankan village life, so simple, so unsophisticated, so unaffected by what's happening in the outside world.
Paddy husks were used to make glass for the whole of the ancient world- hence the Latin name vitro- vi- Sinhala word for paddy . Paddy husks are 95% silicon
Woww woww what a wonderful life, natural nature, farm life makes mind and body healthy feeling. This busy world makes only stressful, we oly spent money to buy small happens still not less longer Thank you for both of you to bring this life is a real lively👍👍💜👍
The buffet looks yummy! ❤️ About the beetle leaves, many villagers chew it only when they are doing something tiring. So it gives you a boost. But chewing it regularly will coz Mouth Cancer. Many villagers in the video was trying to tell you that. Anyways hatsoff to SLTDA for taking you for such a wonderfull place. 💚
I am a Srilankan though l couldnt experience this in my life.thanks a lot for sharing this Authentic our own rich culture. This video brought tears in to my eyes.In history we were very rich in life with food and we managed our daily needs ourselves but with commercialization and globalization we lost our depending food system.
It's my town Balangoda, Sri Lanka and I think the village is somewhere near to Belihuloya or Seelogama. Thank you for visiting us. And I think the tourism in Blanagoda will be developing more and more in future.
Dear sir Johnny excellent your program thanks for you and your wife I am a Sri lsnkan but me now stay in Oman I am always looking your progress God's bless you and your family
You could see the Portuguese origins mixed with the bengali roots so many generations on. Pretty amazing! When you compare that with the darker skinned natives of the island in Jaffna.
Its said that the leeches should not be pulled out like that. If parts of their mouth/sucker gets broken and remains in the skin, the wound can get infected. I usually use salt water and they naturally back off. I have also heard that keeping a soap(real soap, not face wash cubes) on top of it also will make them naturally leave out.
Glad you enjoyed the village experience 😊. Horses were so unexpected 😂 pets? The leeches were so gross..nasty. Cristina was a trooper..please treat her to a nice spa. The lunch looked yummy. Take care and keep safe 🙏❣️
Here in South Africa our electricity prices have gone through the roof because our country is now so corrupt it's crazy what has happened. The reason I mentioned this is because watching the cooking on the open fire does not cost you much and the food tastes so much more beautiful. I just wish l can visit Sri Lanka someday to experience this beautiful country. So grateful to Johnny for these beautiful videos. Just shows you dont need money to experience such beauty.
BTW go to a place called gage wadiya for boat Safari and river camping . It's near kalpitiya also borderd by wilpattu national park so you guys can visit all those 3 places
18:57 you look like an ancient SL warrior with the sickle😁 31:32 its called Hug Galla. 38:27 such beautiful people and land, lead by corrupt politicians for 70 years 😟 Thanks for sharing.
Jonny, at 15.37 the lady said that "me gollo yawana ekath honda nane. ". did u heard that? it means dnt let them go to US back during Covid crisis. it not safe for them. see how much SL peoples loves u guys.
