@Kartik Puri While agree about the past, my concern is about the present scenario, I have not seen as many vedic schools or patrons in north, barring few places like Pune, Varanasi, Prayaga, Haridwar etc. The survival and progress of Hinduism is only through strengthening Vedic education. Thanks and regards
Namaskar Chandrasekhar ji,The mantras are recited differently in different Vedshakhas. In Northern part of India most brahmins are Shukla Yajurvediya while in southern part most are Krishna Yajurvediya. So pronunciation, way of recitation etc. Varies. I don't know what's perfection for you. Best wishes and regards from Western India.
@@sidharthvyas7870 Namshkar. Yes, we in South follow Krishna Yajurveda and the recitation differ significantly, may be familiarity makes the hymns rather more engrossing
Agreed with you. I myself am a N Indian brahmin, but the chants by South Brahmins always has a different charm. I said this to to a famous musicologist from Mumbai, and they were quite offended
WHEN I AM ON MY VISIT TO USA TO BE WITH MY CHILDREN SUDDENLY I FELT UNEASY I RECITED MAHA MIRUNDHANJA MANTRAM I FEEL BETTER AND NOW I AM LISTENING TO MAHA RUDRAM I FEEL MUCH BETTER. OM NAMASHIVAYA. JAI BHOLANATH. OM NAMASHIVAYA.
This reminds me of the time when we had Rudra classes ..Hated that when we where forced to learn rudra once a week . Some Sundays we sat in temples singing this wearing the same costume. Now I really understand why my parents had sent me to learn rudra. Now I feel really amazing.;-)
Pride of one's birth is an obstacle to Moksha, though. None of the siddhas taught to be proud of one's country, ancestors etc. Nationalism is KaliYuga "dharma".
One who takes pride in blood ancestry is a rakhshas and is delusional said by lord krishna. Everyone come from same soil .nothing special .wise understands . Not so wise will add ego to his identity
Thank you to the people residing in the northern part of this great nation for fighting all the great battles at the expense of loosing out all the ancient glory to the history books and help protect the divine culture of this sacred land .
There is no God higher or equal to Siva There is no book greater or equal to the Śaivāgama There is no hymn greater or equal to the Sacred Rudram There is no mantra higher or equal to the Panchākshara There is no name greater or equal to Sivanāma Hara Hara
the eternal joy in loving and chanting the sacred texts flows from one to another in freedom like Brahman Himself. the joy of sharing these well loved words is the joy of brotherhood and sisterhood in the Sweet One's Beloved spirit.

We always find a pure and perfect pronounsation of sanskrit in South compare to North India, may be due to outside invaders like Mughals, Hoon, Shaka, Greeks, Mongolians, afghans coming and ruling north.

Contact some south indian brahmin association in Bombay which is relatively near your place. They have lot of groups chanting rudram in southindian style. They do it very regularly..
I forgot to mention. In you tube there is grd Iyer gurucool teaches rudram . His name is ramesh based in Canada. It is free...daily 1 hr if you spend you can complete rudram chamakam in about 25 days...I have learnt from that videos....he teaches slowly patiently clearly...
I fully agree with you, the way they recite hymns do not sound as endearing as in South Indian style. Not only this, even the pooja and worship in South is very good and as per the agama sastra
