@@puresoul5559 Rajesh Khanna and Raj Kapoor are greats too. But they have not seen such dominance like the three actors I mentioned both in class and mass audience
Same as Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachhan. Because at that time no media no mobile no such advanced communication but still world knows Amitabh bachhan. So all depends on generation wise.
SRK is truly lightening in a bottle he managed to be not only talented and hardworking and insanely charismatic- but also surpasses the test of time from 90s tv accessibility, relatability to an Indian AND western audience, survived industrial changes from VHS to DVD to OTT- and still his theatrical releases today with Pathaan and Jawan exceed that of any Hindi movie grossing worldwide today - that’s once in a lifetime kind of stardom and no there is no replacement !
No one can replace SRK He has reached or surpassed the level of Michael Jackson. He is called the Biggest Superstar in the world by international organizations in the USA, UK, and EUROPE. No previous Superstars has been called The World's Biggest Superstar except SRK. NO previous Superstar has given 3 ATB at the age of 57.

People forget about the devanand. After dilip sahib second superstar was devanand whom prohibited by court to wear black coat in public. Did anyone else actor received same order by the court .If yes write in comments.
SRK will be the last superstar of Bollywood, until the next superstar arrives. It will depend on the timing. India as a country is going through a transition phase and by 2030 it will become the most important country in the world for trade, with an economy of $10 trillion. During that phase, watching Indian movies will become cool not just among overseas Indians but among westerners and other nationalities as well. Indian actors will become household names in western countries. That would be the right time for the next superstar to arrive. His movies will be event movies that audiences will wait for across the world. He would have the qualities of Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan, SRK combined. Indian culture would be cool across the globe and Indian mythological films would be a rage. That time will be awesome.
Do you have any idea about the legendary Ashok Kumar? Bombay Talkies? Indian Cinema's First Blockbuster movie 'Kismet'? First Anti-Hero of Indian Cinema? Well, the Media has generated this misconception that Rajesh Khanna was the first Superstar of the Hindi film industry. But, it's wrong. It was the legendary Dadamoni Ashok Kumar, who was the first real Superstar of the Hindi cinema. Ashok Kumar was the earliest Superstar of the Indian cinema. Saadat Hasan Manto, in his book 'Stars from Another Sky', has written a lot about Ashok Kumar and his stardom in the pre-independent India. So, Ashok Kumar was the first real Superstar of Hindi cinema, not Rajesh Khanna. After Ashok Kumar, came the trio of another three superstars, Dilip Kumar, Dev Anand and Raj Kapoor. Rajesh Khanna came much later in late 1960s. So, Rajesh Khanna wasn't the first superstar, in any terms.

@@movieshunger8246 Okay, I understood your point. But, I would suggest you to tell more and more about those stars and that era, which is referred to as the Golden Era of Indian cinema, because those people and those movies were just of another league. I am 21 years old, but I love that Golden Era movies ( pre-70s). People love to know about those things, which they aren't aware of. Similarly, people would love to know more about that cinematic era of artistic brilliance (40s to 60s), when there were artists like Ashok Kumar, Dilip Kumar, Dev Anand, Raj Kapoor, Meena Kumari, Madhubala, etc., filmmakers like Bimal Roy, B.R.Chopra, Guru Dutt, Hrishikesh Mukherjee, etc., and movies like 'Kismet', 'Mahal', 'Awaara', 'Shree 420', 'Aan', 'Pyaasa', 'Madhumati', 'Mughal-e-Azam', 'Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi', 'Kanoon', 'Bandini', 'Guide', 'Jewel Thief', 'Pakeezah', etc. I just love these classic movies. When I was in school, I used to watch movies of ShahRukh Khan and used to think that he is the biggest star ever. But, later when I got introduced to people like Ashok Kumar, Dilip-Dev-Raj trio, etc., by my parents, I started watching their movies and became a fan of them. After watching the stars like Dadamoni, Dilip saab, Dev saab, Raj ji, and their classic movies, I realized that SRK (whom I used to adore as the biggest star ever), is not as great as the stars of the Golden Era. After watching Ashok Kumar to Dilip Kumar to Amitabh Bachchan to SRK, I came to the conclusion that Ashok Kumar was the GOAT, the true versatile actor and the true trendsetter of the Hindi cinema. In terms of longevity and versatility, no other actor can match him, Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan being the only worthy competitors of Dadamoni.

it's challenging to definitively declare one person as the "last superstar" of Indian cinema, as the Indian film industry is vast and continuously evolving with new talents emerging regularly. However, I can mention some prominent actors who were considered superstars in the Indian film industry up to that point: Rajinikanth: Rajinikanth, often referred to as "Thalaiva," is a legendary actor in the Tamil film industry. He enjoys a massive fan following not only in South India but also globally. Amitabh Bachchan: Amitabh Bachchan is an iconic figure in Bollywood, known for his exceptional acting skills and a career spanning several decades. He remains incredibly popular and active in the industry. Shah Rukh Khan: Often referred to as the "King of Bollywood," Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most recognizable and beloved actors in Indian cinema. Aamir Khan: Aamir Khan is known for his versatility as an actor and his commitment to socially relevant and thought-provoking films. He has a dedicated fan base and is considered one of the leading actors in Bollywood. Salman Khan: Salman Khan, known as "Bhai" to his fans, is another Bollywood superstar with a massive following. He is known for his action-packed and entertaining films. Kamal Haasan: Kamal Haasan is a highly respected actor in the Indian film industry, known for his work in Tamil and other regional languages. He is also involved in politics. Please note that the landscape of Indian cinema can change rapidly, and new stars and talents may have emerged since my last update. To find out who the current superstar of Indian cinema is, I recommend checking the latest news and trends in the industry.
Yeah but after 90s no new hero like Ranveer or Ranbir or anyone has reached super stardom in the North. In South it's better situation Prabhas, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan and NTR Jr and Yash are super stars but there's no new great heroes or stars are created post 2000s. In Tamil again ends at Vijay, I don't see any new superstars emerging. Many good new actors who will give few good hits, yes but no one has superstardom where movie just runs on their name.

Superstar baane ke liye har zonar mei fit hona chaiye ...SRK is not fitted in all zonar ...romance mei wo superstar hai after Rajesh khanna ...bt complete superstar is big B .....
Raher than saying no one can replace Shah Rukh Khan. I'll say that Shah Rukh Khan didn't replaced Amitabh bachchan but made his own Identity to all over the world, so if someone else has potential do that may he or she can be the next generation superstar.
This is bollywood, brother. Dilip Kumar was replaced by Shehanshah (Amitabh Bachchan) of Bollywood. Amitabh Bachchan’s fame & craze crossed the international bounderies. He was the first Indian actor who used to organize shows internationally. Amitabh finally awarded and declared as the last greates actor of the millennium. He was the first Indian actor whose statue was placed at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. After Big B, Srk followed his suit. At the age of 81 Big B is still kicking. It remains to be seen, where SRK will be when he attains the age of 81, nobody knows . The fame and respect Big B has earned at the time when media was not that much alive was unprecedented. He happened to be the most richest actor of Indian Cinema. So, please stop jumping on the conclusion. As long as the Indian Cinema is alive, Bollywood will continue to produce superstar on every friday. Bitter but true. 🙏🏼

Srk was extremely famous as a serial actor. His character lieutenant Abhimanyu Ray in Fauji was extremely popular. Circus and Fauji are the most iconic serials ever. He almost didn't want to do films because he was quite successful as a serial artist. It was after his mother past away, when he decided to try his luck in films when Aziz Mirza forced him to do so.
