A little announcement video.
You guys should totally check out:
MANGA: Feng Shen Ji - One of the best manga's (I actually think it's a Manhua, but not sure) I've ever seen, a little slow to start, but the art is amazing, and the storyline manages to be both traditional and epic, as well as fresh and exciting.
Anime: Black Lagoon, but my little brother keeps recommending Ouran High School Host Club. He would wouldn't he, the shojo lover. And lately Minty's been really into Girl und Panzer, but that's more understandable. I've also been super interested in watching Gosick, but just haven't had the time!!!
Comic: www.goblinscomic.com the best ongoing web series, by far (and I read a ton), once again a little slow the start, but so well crafted and well planned, and if you're a fan of awesome adventures, and the whole roleplaying DnD idea, you will love this.
Music: Have been tuning into more oldschool stuff, just listened to Bachmann Turner Overdrives "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" and it is a howler.
Chess: Have been experimenting a little bit with the Magnus Smith trap, you can google that if you want to know where it's at.
DotA 2: For those of you in Australia looking at joining some super fun and happy inhouses, check out the group DotA is Hard, they're a superfun happy inhouse that runs Wednesdays, I just joined, it was an absolute blast. Check out the admin's youtube channel here: / projectswiftdih And the facebook page here: DotaIsHardDih... It's a steam group so be sure to look them up and add them if you want in.
Other games: I'm actually not much of a gamer, but feel my little brother occasionally does casts with a guy called HivelordLusa, check out the channel here: It's mainly half life 2 mods and shooters and stuff. But pretty cool, and they know their stuff. Link: / hivelordlusa
Books: If you can, have a read of any Jack Reacher novel. Those are hilariously good. If you're anything like me you'll spend an enormous amount of time laughing about how ridiculously invincible and perfect the main character is (think Gary Stu but wayyyy manlier) and the rest of the time anticipating the various gruesome deaths of his enemies.
Television: The latest Doctor Who episode just emerged, if you haven't already, check it out. Also this should be old news, but David Tennant and Billie Piper have apparently been confirmed for an appearance in the 50th anniversary, airing November 23rd, I know right?!?! :DDD
Web series: VGHS. Also known as videogame high school. It's not new, but definitely one of my favourite, and I would feel a little weird reccomending things like Dr. Horrible's Sing-along-blog (starring neil patrick harris, felicia day, and nathan fillion) or the guild, because you guys should already know about stuff like that.
Workouts: A couple of weeks ago I finished a 6 week Paleo diet, not really many gains, but huge leanness, dropped to about 9% until I decided I couldn't take it anymore. I'm sitting at a nice 10-12% just eating in my macro's, but have started to tune up my squat. I've made the switch to powerlifter training for my legs, and have added another 25 kg to my one rep max in 3 weeks. I wouldn't ever recommend specific workouts or diets to people as I'm neither a doctor or a PT, but I would recommend every wannabe bodybuilder do a little bit of research into powerlifting, and try and step out of that 3 sets of 8-12 rep mentality for some of your lifts.
