You're a lifesaver bro! Btw if anyone has windows on other disk than C, you just change the letter c (for example in the first command or in the c:\windows....) to the letter of disk u have it on.
I don't usually comment but.. This guide actually helped! Just keep in mind that when he says to type "c:\" it's because it is there he has the system, you might have it on another disc, follow the guide but type your system drive and it'll work
So you don't follow where your 'windows' is only your 'system' that you can check on diskpart? I have no letter assigned to my system, this might be why some of these commands are showing up as invalid.
I used windows 11, the problem was solved with your tutorial, thank you my Indian friends. I will never forget your video in my life. Thank you so much my friend. From Indonesian guy, Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatu?
Liking the comments of people who didn’t find your video helpful isn’t the solution to their problem. Your video is exactly the same same fix as all the other existing ones on RU-vid right now. You basically copy pasted a fix that was put out years ago. This isn’t working on computers in 2022 so I suggest that if you want growth and the possibility to do RU-vid as a fulltime job to not only read the comments but try to find solutions to these issues. Thanks.
I updated my computer to the new version of windows and my computer would not work. I just entered your commands to check the disc, I have a bunch of replaced bad cluster in files… I’m still waiting. This was a total disaster and lots of wasted time. Your video really helped me out. I would have had to call an IT company to fix my computer! Thank you!! 🎉
I tried all this black magic and nothing (hope it worked for some). A proficient friend of mine just asked me to do just a thing which was to get in the BIOS, locate Storage Devices and in the Storage Options, look for SATA Emulation and swap it from RAID+AHCI to IDE (He asked to swap to AHCI or RAID but my PC has only two options here - IDE and RAID+AHCI). Thanks to him, my baby is up and running, however he told me there must be a configuration issue in my PC which, if resolved, will tremendously speed up my PC. I am looking forward to having him come over, ask him to correct that issue and reward him for his help. I am not the smartest guy but lucky me I am surrounded by a bunch of smart-a$$es.
If swapping it to IDE didn't do sheet, try the other options in SATA Emulation and see how they go. He also told me that proceeding as in the video might be dangerous especially if this leads to radical booting files changes. DON'T PLAY AROUND WITH SYSTEM FILES.
Thanks very much for the video, after bloody Windows updates slowing my pc down I stupidly shut it down improperly causing this bloody blue screen but your video has given my PC life again, thanks a lot mate😀👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great! I got this problem, tried to solve for 2 days long. Then I found on web your video. Reading at start all this "thanks comments" I had a feeling like "bot fake comments"🤔😅 (But aren't!) At the end I tried to follow your instructions and seems to work again for now! Even if I don't know what that procedure do 😅 but I have to really thank you a lot‼️🙏😁
can you please help me i was doing what you said in the video (i was in step two just like in the minute 0:51) but then my laptop just turn off and now i can't turn it on (i had never have problems with the batterie or the charger) but now thr charger won't even turn the on light if i dont press the novo bottom (its a lenovo IdeaPad slim 1) but the charging light only lasts a minute before turning off I don't know what to do
I was panicked a lot bcs I need to go abroad but my laptop suddenly blue screen with this problem. I tried to fix it with this video and it'a worked!! Thank you so much, sir!
What if you can't load command prompt because it says "you need to sign in as an administrator to continue, but there aren't any administrator accounts on this PC". I'm the only user to have ever used the laptop so I'm not sure why it's saying there's no admin account? Would appreciate any help. Thank you!
It means your harddrive is not marked at c: drive Could be marked as D: or something else jist figure out which letter the harddrive is under and instead of c: put that letter in the command
Hi there, After I type in command: copy *.* backup” it comes up with “BBI - There is not enough space on the disk” as well as for all the rest of the rows BCD - Template, Components, Default, Drivers etc. And at the end it says “0 file(s) copied” I was thinking could I copy the files onto drive D:\ somehow ? Anyway to fix that… seems like I’m the only one and I can’t find help. Thank you
IF NONE OF THESE WORK - There is another way. Windows Update may have switched your boot device to a non-boot device. Just restart your PC, Open Boot Device Menu or BIOS (for me it was pressing F11 a bunch after the PC was turned on), and switch your boot priority to one of the other hard drives that appear there. Try each one. Everyone's will look slightly different, but this was my issue. I never had corrupted files but I'd never have known.
Thank you so much!! I was worried that maybe this video wont work same as others but, it worked so perfectly well and super fast!!! Again thanks for your amazing video! Keep up the great work sir.
At the very first screen check what drive the logfile is on, if its not C: then its probably a faulty connection to your C drive. Mine says E: for the logfile and when talking out my ssd which is my C drive, the exact same happens. Just a heads up.
It appears to have fixed my cloned drive !!! I have one issue only ! It’s booted and it’s the spinning circle dots is this normal it has been spinning for ten minutes so far ? Does the windows usb still need to be plugged in or do I take it out and restart. 😊
I got I/O issues and chkdsk got bunch of problems such as unreadable record segment and buch of disk read errors. I'm planning to reformat my laptop but I don't know if it will fix the problem...
when i try to do cd c:\windows\system32\config it just says not found someone here said i might have it on another desk how can i check which desk i have my windows on?
Good morning I recently disassembled my hp compaq presario cq57 laptop because the fan had a problem. When I finished cleaning and I reassembled it had a problem Something from "srttrail.text" I typed how to fix this on youtube and found your video But each time I try to follow the tutorial at some point they ask to enter a ki command "cd c:\windows\system32\config" When I do that it sends me "The system cannot find the specified path" and I can't progress anymore. Please tell me what did I go through when I reinstall the pc
@@thedrewpy7779 I got it to repair shop. It is working now, but every once in a while, faces some issues and I'm always afraid the the whole thing repeats. How did you get older versions?
Hello @Clases fáciles thanks for your video, i tried it but did not work for me, once i reach c:\Windows\System32\config\RegBack>dir I get only 3 directories ., .., and backup Once I enter the next command, c:\Windows\System32\config\RegBack>copy *.* .. system can't find or copy any file Imust say after the previous 5 step of chkdsck command I got a message that says: error cuando se transferían los mensajes de sesión al registro de eventos con estado 6 please I need your help, greetings from Mexico
I started having problem after tweaking(oc) my memory is it has some kind of connection to the error? Second what exactly all this commands does to i change my files or somthing like that?
What it means when is try to type the cd c: \windows\system32\cobfig and it just says the system cannot find the path specified ? Someone pls help my pc been broken for months
Good day sir. I follow the step. However on the copy *.*.. the result say the system cannot find the file specified. I also realised VSMIDK file are not there when md backup. Also bootrec/fixboot show access is denied. What should i do?
Thank you so much for your video, I want to try the steps after having the issue for about a week now but I wanna ask first will it result in any lose of my files?
My system is on the D: drive, but the commands wont work because its got write protection on that I cant seem to find a way to disable. Ive looked for a physical switch but didnt find one and I cant get windows to boot at all, so I have to operate purely from the Startup repair thing. Any ideas? Ive tried damn near everything I can think of and Ive looked up every different issue Ive had to try to fix this error, but Ive hit a roadblock and its driving me mad.
Hi, Firstly, am fascinated glad to see such efforts of resolving many such technical problems being faced (am sure by too many around). Currently, am trying to fix such a desktop system with newly installed win 10. At command line copy *.* .. (it says - the system cannot find the file specified. 0 files copied). /fixmbr line - done well. am getting stuck in command line from - bootrec /fixboot (saying - Access is denied). Would you be able to share options to resolve the same from there on ? Much Thanks in Advance God Bless
Rip for us then because all who asked this never got a correct answer or response at all, best hope is just to reset and hope u didn't have cherished family memories or something on ur PC, I already accepted the loss of all my local music files I had
@@TOFASJR I hope this isn't too late but this is often because some don't have system32(windows) on their c: Drive. Change the prefix to whatever drive you have it on, D: E: J: whatever. It would be CD d:/windows/system32/config for me because I have windows on my primary SSD which is my D: drive.
@@mitchelllarimer7703 thanks but that didn't work later down the line because my PC would still have critical error, I just ended up re installing windows and now my PCs back up, saved all my files just not programs and files for apps, pc is also hella buggy and slow now (wasn't prior) but hey it'll hold me until I can buy parts for a new PC project
Hello thanks for you video. In my case, didn't resolve the problem, when i do c:\Windows\system32\config egback>bootrec /fixboot My command tell me "acess denied". Can you help me?
