Theme of Kyousuke Nanbu/Alteisen/Alteisen Riese from SRW Original Generations He don't mind betting on the tough odds... Including handling a wild card like Excellen.
I especially love how Alteisen Riese literally means 'scrap iron giant' in German. It's like, "yeah, this thing is old and decrepit, but it can still pulp you with minimal effort"
The Alteisen/Kyousuke combo is the equivalent of spending your entire life buffing your body the fuck up with powerlifting and then game-ending in real life every single martial artist that comes your way through power of retard strength alone.
***** The reason for that is mostly because Banpresto didn't pay Sunrise in advance so they can continue use GGG in their games after the license expired, probably due to the high amount of money they need to pay. Anyway, glad that they decided to put GGG in their new SRW again.
This guy is pretty much my favorite protagonist in all the mech games I've played and probably one of my favorite characters in all games and that says a lot given that I've probably played over 1000 games . Awesome things about Kyosuke -he's an awesome pilot keeping up with super robots while using a rather outdated one -his mech has a really awesome design -his theme is awesome -his partner is by a long shot the best female character in the game -his team is made of pure badass robots in the og2 (angelg, kuryooh/ryukooh, rein weisritter) -his personality and character are awesome. They surely overdid it with the coolness factor on this guy :))
i'm sorry i don't remember ever arguing or talking with you about Latooni or about Latooni at all, you are free to like whoever you want but facts are: Excellen >>>> Latooni. If you have the slightest bit of objectivity in your head you would realize that despite Lat being an amazing pilot she's no where even close to Excellen not skillwise not looks and certainly not personality wise. And with that being said you shall be ignored because I don't care to argue about Excellen vs Latooni since is a stupid comparison which is not worth my time.
***** yeh perfect odds and peas for damage :)) and I know I said I should ignore you because this is dumb as hell but I'll just say this nevertheless, don't know if your memory serves you right but I don't ever recall my Excellen ever missing a shot in the last playthrough I made (which happened like last month) Also there's more to what matters to a pilot than dodge and hit. Damage is actually more important than hit since hit can easily be boosted to 100% even on the worst person while alert can keep safe even the worst character of the lot when fighting a boss. I liked using Lat in the fairlions along with shine and I pretty much always fielded Latooni but her damage in the Fairlion or in any other mecha for that matter isn't even close to what Excellen can pool off when doing Rampage Ghost. Now if you are going to claim you like Lat's personality better all good is your opinion and you are entitled to it but claiming Latooni is a stronger character than Excellen is flat out stupid as fk. And this time i'm truly done all I originally wanted was to make a point of how badass and awesome Kyosuke is, I honestly couldn't care less about arguing about this with you.
***** was obviously comparing it with her fairlion combination attack duuuuuuuuh wtf U just decided to go full dummy. Even so, is still perfectly fine, not everyone has combination attacks and using a combination atack only eats the turn of her mech not also the partner's turn, so let's face it nobody is stupid enough not to field Kyosuke so Rampage Ghost is always available when fielding Excellen, the same can't be said about fielding both Fairlions (there's plenty of people who don't use both of them, personally if i didn't like the Fairlions and both shine and Latooni I would bench them both probably, Shine for sure so Latooni wouldn't have access to her Combi Attack)
***** their low attack power is not their only weakness lol, they have piss poor defense and piss poor hp they are just not as relevant because of how easy the Fairlions can dodge that being said the fact that their hp and defense sucks ass is still a fact. And by accident i was scrolling through some other videos srw related just listening to some ost from the game and reading some comments and howly shit dude on each and every video i stumbled upon you were arguing with someone about Latooni and the fairlions, get real dude I mean is ok to like a character but is stupid to obsess over her.
If i could weigh in on this cause its honestly pretty interesting to think about i would say he would either use the Age Titus of or one of the IBO suits though my vote would be on Asteroth or Gusion. Main issue is that Alt is really unique even among mecha in general and gundams in general aren't really built to be as lets face it, unbalanced
i really like Kyousuke and his Alt. So much op/absurd tech and magic in the srw og series, but he's just there spamming piledrivers, close-ranged artillery and pure skill.
Friendly reminder that the Alteisen Riese is so heavy, that it needs a Tesla Drive just to stand. Whereas most mechs equipped with the thing would fly.
The Alteisen Riese actually requires the Tesla Drive to move AT ALL because of the sheer weight. The thing has the maneuverability of an Anvil welded to another Anvil.
Of course, that also means that much like an anvil, once it really gets going, there is precious little capable of standing in its way without getting smashed flat like a pancake.
Really love Alteisen Riese by making him Bulkier and more powerful that it need one Tesla drive just to stand it up and of course Kyosuke know how to pilot it.
Imagine for a second-just for a second-and I mean just for a second-Alteisen holding his own against the Dygenguard AND the Grungust. Kyosuke is that type of tough that he could do it. He might not win. But goddamn that would be one hell of a fight since his ingenuity allows him to last longer than he really should. Imo he could probably last 15 minutes tops.
Oh, God! I freakin love this game... especially this theme song. Thanks for uploading it! I looked around for like ages ~ and that picture is pretty impressive too, Alt looks mighty badass.
That's fair enough, and it's basically only Kyosuke's massive amount of luck that stops him from getting blown to smithereens on several occasions. That said, I still really like both the Huckebein and the Alteisen. I'm just sad that there's never more than one of the Alts floating around, is all.
@TheDiamondChampion And that is why its so much more useful in space where weight isn't an issue. That way Reise will have its OP armor, EXCELLENt mobility due to it having similar tesla drives to Weissritter and more fire power.
To my knowledge the Wurger is an RTX mech whose role and armaments concepts were based on the Alt. The Falken being the same for the Weiss. The WildWurger isn't a version or derivative of the Alteisen, it's more of a younger cousin. Which is why it isn't nerfed. It's designed on a different concept. The Alt is for accomplishing and surviving Suicide Missions (someone should give one to Shephard), the Wurger is for High-Speed Assaults and Hit-and-Run Ambushes, and Air-Superiority.
Tesla Drive makes anything fly It's like a big fuck you to Physics Also wasn't it stated it takes so much energy only one unit can be equiped per mech In theory scenario Kyosuke-No ammo....SANGER THROW ME AT THEN(Riese can be used as a club considering how heavy armored and heavy it is) Sanger-TATSUMAKI FASTBALL SPECIAL
Iron Scrap Giant In theory the damn thing is useless considering it needs an anti-gravity module to JUST MOVE considering how heavy it is and the difficulty to pilot it only someone with the Devil's Luck like Kyosuke can manage it
No, it was passed over because Kyousuke was damn near the only one who could handle the thing effectively, and the Huckebein series was cheaper to maintain, easier to handle, and a bit more versatile. The Alt outperforms the MP Huckebein IIs in everything but flight and ranged weaponry, and it has the Acceleration to make the latter moot. It's an excellent unit, and a valuable asset, but on an individual, not a group basis. The military wants a standard unit for everybody, the Alt isn't suitable
i just noticed that in the GBA version of the divine wars, the alteisen have an odd design glitch. you can see it on his claymore. the claymore box has a yellow triangle and 2 black lines. the yellow triangle is on top and the lines are below. in the GBA version it was switched. making it look liked that alt's claymore box has a face. a smiling one at that.
It`s not the Mech itself that`s so heavy it needs the Tesla drive. It`s just a certain part of the pilots anatomy that weighs it down... ...sorry. Couldn`t resist.
The mech was already light before. Adding Kyosuke to the mech makes it heavier. They put a Tesla Drive on his mech and also made it heavier just to make him into an inside joke. ...Sorry too.
@RiderStar Whenever Kyosuke bets on the odds, he will normally win no matter what, even more with Excellion by his side. The only time he failed was during one of his fights against Axel Almar. Still never fight with someone that will kill you if you end up in his sights. Alteisen and Alteisen Riese are two of the highest armored and defensive units that'll take in barely any damage from enemies while piercing them (the enemies) before the opponent's mech explodes. GO STAKE!!! "BOOM!"
Alteisen was the Prototype's Codename, if it was selected as the next gen mech, it's designation would have changed to Gespenst mk. III. I think in the Shadow Mirror 'verse, the mk.III was an Ace Custom unit, and the base was much much more sane than the Alt. That said, that's SM Kyousuke, of course his is going to be so broken only someone utterly insane would dare get in the cockpit. And it's not that no one else can pilot it, it's that no one else can pilot it in combat.
@DarkvindFromIllier Considering how gravity works, it already does. Add a little more mass, though, and any moon around whatever planet it's on would come crashing down due to the added mass.
It sucks that they chose the Huckebein over the Alteisen, although it fits with the whole 'Hucke = Gundam' thing. Still, I'm waiting for the Original Generation where we see mass produced Alts. That will make my day...
"To my knowledge". I stand corrected, my mistake. Though, they are still built around different core concepts/philosophies, namely "Survive the unsurvivable, in style" vs "Cut/Break/Crush the unsurvivable into little pieces before it's an issue".
Am I the only one who liked the original Alteisen more than Alteisen Riese? The latter looks too heavy and 'overdesigned'. Oh, and the in-game battle sprite.
I know what you guys were talking, I think that Alteisen Riese isn't so different from the original, it's only a little bigger it still has the same characteristics and more fire power now.
