FINAL BOSS SPOILERS BELOW! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!
Here it is, folks: the theme of Saint Advent once he gets his Supreme God Z.
Hmm...this is certainly not my favorite boss OR final boss theme of the Z series but it is serviceable. Then again, it's a suitably divine-esque theme considering what we're dealing with.
Can't have someone like that run around with a crazy up-tempo beat and/or guitar shredding!

Spoilers for SRW 30: Despite what the game told you, Tengoku Hen won't be the last we see of Advent.

You need to fight him 9 times. I fight him 3 times.

Unpopular opinion : I really like Advent and his theme, especially his theme, it gives me the feeling of 'this is the end', which fit the story at that point.

"Can't have someone like that run around with crazy up-tempo beat and/or guitar shredding" Aw man It's what I love most about SRW final boss themes usually.

Advent wouldn't be so bad as a boss. But in Z the final boss was over the top amazing and had a really good theme that tied into the other original villians. Z2-1 had Gaiou. Z2-2 has Uther. Really it doesn't help that throughout the entirety of Z3-1 I was thinking that Advent was totally going to betray us. Still it's not a bad theme and not a bad final boss, it's just that the Z series already had better bosses that beat out Advent in every way possible.

IzanagiFoolofThunder Its not even just Advent's fight that feels underwhelming, but the whole finale itself, _especially_ after last game's royal flush of a finale combo of Char's Counterattack with Char on our side and vs. Full Frontal -> fighting Gatorade after several stages of dickery from him on the broken remains of Axis with JAM Project as bgm -> The last episodes of Gurren Lagann with an added side of TENGEN TOPPA EVERYTHING. They cornered themselves with that bar set up (specially the epilogue preview) then underwhelmed everyone by missing out on so many badass things they could've added, like bringing back previous series, adding to already finished stories(I'm looking at you Shin Mazinger), combination attacks like the constantly requested Multiple Inazuma Kick, bringing in upgrades for dusty unattended series... They didn't even bring in Hi-Nu Gundam. _They didn't even bring in _*_fucking_*_ Hi-Nu Gundam!_

ChReNiC At least it wasn't the anti-spiral again. That was such a letdown.

ChReNiC No really, would have much prefered if it ended before that or had a more, literally, dynamic final boss.

hokutofan21 its better than advent and his non-involved finale. it was just the end to hibiki's story with a pasted on epilogue for the originals. at least the antispiral tried to involve every series present with the multidimensional labyrinth.

I would honestly have less of an issue with Advent as a boss if he wasn't so supremely... anticlimactic, I guess. I mean, THIS is Ba'al? THIS is the force that caused Gaioh, and the Mycenae, and Zeus, and the Antispiral collectively shitting their pants?
@katomamundara8106
@katomamundara8106 9 лет назад
***** Nope. There was no actual Ba'al. Seems that from the start, the Ba'al was a lie, or rather: the heroes, Z-Blue, were the Ba'al. My friend played the game, and seemingly there were 4 angels (Advent one of them), whom were out to revive the Super/Supreme God Z. They were basically the "Advent" (for lack of a better word) of his coming. To this end, they warned the 4 Dimension Generals (Apollonius, Gaioh, Augustus (Z3-2 chara) and the Spiral one) that the Ba'al would come, and made them think it was the Invaders, STMC, etc. Nope, the real Ba'al were Z-Blue. The Angels intentionally caused them to gather (the true cause of the Dimension Quake, using Kei and the Orguss plot as a scapegoat reason), to intentionally gain strength to defeat the four Generals so they no longer stood in Supreme God Z's way, then once they did that, foster their spheres so that they had all 12. Then steal the Spheres away. Basically, Z-Blue were Ba'al because they were the direct cause of Supreme God Z's revival. They directly caused it by joining together. Had they not, the spheres would have never awakened. (Mind you, they needed to sacrifice 4 lives as a placibo for 4 spheres as the Virgo, Leo, Libra, and Gemini spheres are still with Z-Blue during this fight, but that's a diff story). So yeah, Advent's not Ba'al, YOU are the Ba'al. Z-Blue is literally the most universally powerful, terrifying force in the Z-Universe. It all fits together in retrospect...

Katoma Mundara Heck, that even calls back to the original Black History in Z1, where ZEUTH accidentally brought about the end of the world in one possible ending. I'm sure that's referenced in Tengoku-hen somewhere...
@pigifi

***** then that leaves just one question,If Gaioh never met ZEXIS before Z2 then who or what did he lose to before coming to ADW and Insareum(Z2)?1.An evil version of ZEUTH/ZEXIS/Z-BLUE?2.The 4 Angels themselves when he found out the true threat is them?3.Another group of mecha heroes?(Other franchises not in Z Saga)?
@katomamundara8106
@katomamundara8106 9 лет назад
pigifi The Four Angels and the Four Dimension guardians have conflicted in the past it seems considering what I've heard. So I would think the Angels were simply proclaiming themselves the Heralds of the ba'al (also true since they were manipulating the generals into fighting the Z Crew to awaken the spheres) or something like that.

Katoma Mundara Sorry, I hope you don't mind me correcting you on one point. The Supreme God Z wasn't what advent was trying to revive. They wanted to revive the Overgod Sol, a God that repeatedly destroyed the universe after 12,000 years, the Overgod Sol eventually destroyed itself rather than continue on the endless cycle of death and rebirth, giving way to the numerous universes that make up the Z universe. Advent wished to recreate the Overgod Sol in order to destroy and recreate the universe in his image. The Supreme god Z was created due to lacking all the spheres due to Z-Blue owning them, h then branded the new creation the Supreme God Z Advent himself is not an angel however, he used the power of 4 immortals (the older looking dude, the pink haired girl, the green haired lady and Asakim) as replacements for the remaining spheres that Z-BLUE owns, Advent used manipulation, deceit and lies to worm his ideology into his followers heads, so much so that they believed themselves to be a religion in and of itself. Advents ultimate goal was to become a god of his own world, created by him and ruled by him, Z-BLUE to him were nothing more than a catalyst to power up the spheres. The Ba'al is the Overgod Sol and ever this has by a few characters, eden bernal and his various incarnations saw what would happen and each acted differently, The dimensional generals knew what was happening and tried in earnest to continue their duties. Technically, all of the actions that happened in the Z series in its entirety could be traced back to Advent in some form or another, Even by the end of the game you never truly fight the Ba'al, just pieces that may have come to be. In essence we could have been playing an alternate timeline of what could have been.

Brunom, when can I expect the next chapter of Rand and Setsuko's excellent adventure?
@Brunom1
@Brunom1 9 лет назад
Shurelia Mir Hm? It's going on regularly. Doc just posted the prologue to Setsuko's 37 today and I wrapped Rand's version of that mission up a few days ago. Mind, if you're asking about 38 and the ZEUTH fight (and the titanic amount of pre-battle dialogue that comes with it), I plan on posting it about next weekend.

I have to admit, Advent is probably the most unappealing boss with the most boring theme in the whole Z series...
