Information about the Badger: The SS Badger is the last steam powered passenger and vehicle ferry in service on the Great Lakes. The Badger has been in service on Lake Michigan since 1953, making 2023 it's 70th season! During its normal operating season The Badger sails daily from Ludington, Michigan to Manitowoc, Wisconsin and back again, a distance of 62 miles (one way). The Badger was designated a National Historic Landmark on January 20, 2016.
